The dress is next to the Pyramid and the webcam is off.

We’ve waited so long to see her get her frock on again & we’re probably about to miss out on the excitement that brings.

Absolute clusterfuck.

This genuinely irritates me, especially since it came back to life until a few days ago. Being able to see things like the Pyramid getting dressed adds to the excitement enormously.

I made a visit to the farm on 29/03/17 and they had just sprayed the pyramid field with that stuff then as well. We didn’t actually notice that the time though, until we got back in the car and noticed the vile smell coming from our dog, if you look at his paws in the picture you can see they’re covered in it, he absolutely stank for a week afterwards. Must be something they do at this exact time every year though:

My dogs ears do that too...I'm forever putting them back the right way for him! 😄

His are like it more often than they aren’t, it must be a design fault as I’ve got another one now (female) same breed, but hers never do it.

When it happens to our dog cries of Ugly Ear, Ugly Ear can be heard all around the house as we chase him around trying to flip it back.

I really do need another excuse to procrastinate, so I’m thinking an eFests crowdfunded whip round to have @deebeedoobee camp there with a 24hr live feed of the farm, non of this 5 minute refresh nonsense. Just until it’s back up. Can’t imagine she’s much else to do & the weather thread will be fine without her for a bit.

We got our dog from a lady in Bristol, who rescued him from a irish gypsy puppy farm somewhere in Somerset....I'll need to find a good pic but his ears are slightly different.

I always joke to my gf that that's why we got him so cheap as he was a raggy doll reject. 😄  He's lovely though and has a great temperament. 🙂

Ah yeah dig out a pic! This actually him right now 🤣 Poor chap has aged an awful lot since 2017, just like his owner.

*Apologies everyone that this has turned in to the dog ear thread.

Ah he’s extremely cute. I get the same look when I’m working from home.

Once I had some training over teams he kept crying for attention so i had to have him on my lap the entire time...luckily i know the trainer quite well and she found it funny

That’s a new account I’m guessing , doesn’t seem to have any affiliation with the fest … wonder who’s behind it ?

Seems legit as Emily is a follower.

Edit: duh, no, she's not 🤔

It's funny how it doesn't seem to bother them at all. That's a nice nose btw.

Be content with some crappy photos every other day. I'll let you know if anything happens.

Pretty much everyone I work with (including externals) is now familiar with my cats and, sadly, my cats' arses.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
