I don't understand why people are worried the announcement will come whilst they are out of the house? Do people not have smart phones/internet access at work etc.? I'd rather the announcement come whilst I'm busy so I'm not just sat around waiting all day!

George's booking agent (or someone like that) posted on Facebook that he was playing the Saturday. And surely The Mothership Returns suits the description of a "big party" better than anyone else on the lineup?

Ditto. Feel I should like it, tried to enjoy it, failed. Ah well, at least that's one less clash to worry about.

Cheers for that. I agree on the big party front too, was just clutching as I don't want a Hopkins/Leftfield clash. Ah well.

As an aside I delved into your play list at the weekend. excellent work!

Yes but unfortunately my job spec isn't to sit taking apart the Glastonbury lineup all day

I am hoping for even more people who I would fancy seeing, but I'm more concerned just about clashes right now. I just want to know I am going to be able to see certain people, that's my main concern for the stage times.

Im hoping for at least one clash. Don't have any up to this point. Love the feeling of having to make that executive decision.

Wish I could view it like this.

Instead I stew in a darkened room full of self loathing and angst until the 23rd actually arrives, then I'm happy again and I then realise it doesn't really matter (much)!

Very much this, when the initial line up poster came out there were a good number of acts I'd like to see, but nothing stellar it seemed to me. At this point in time, with everything released for the Glade and so on, I'm pretty much clashed to the feckin' rafters. That's without confirmation of the park, west holts, acoustic.

I still reckon we've got 3 Other stage acts (one larger than speculated if we're lucky), a couple of lower Pyramid acts and a fair number across JPT, Park, West Holts and Acoustic that will change people's perspective on the lineup (only a guess basing this on previous years' releases compared to the final lineup).

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
