I think its going to be Elton John, Coldplay and Foo Fighters.

No matter what people's personal opinions on those three, they are three of the biggest/most popular acts on the planet. From my perspective, the only real disappointment would be Coldplay, given that they headlined so recently but there's no doubt that that's three very strong headliners, arguably a bigger/more popular trio than any announced at any other festival

If we presume that Michael's comments from last July were referring to either Fleetwood Mac or AC/DC and whoever it was has since fallen through...

Did't he say more recently that one of the acts has "been around for a long time"....?

Don't see Flo, T-Swizz, that man who sings the song about the Fix You or Captain Raaaaawkbeard fitting the criteria there.

i thought most of what Michael had said had been written off as being about Fleetwood / AC/DC, but you might have a point on the 'been around a long time' thing, as that definitely can't be used to describe any of the three/four current heavily rumoured headliners (although not sure on the exact timeframe of that quote). if it is Elton though, where the hell does that put Flo and Swift in the mix? massive subs, or not at all?

Going by that I know more Elton John songs than I thought to be honest...Saturday Night, Your Song, Circle Of Life, Tiny Dancer, That's Why They Call It The Blues, Rocket Man, Don't Let The Sun Go Down

I'm Still Standing? Crocodile Rock?

Seen him twice in the last two years and he was great both times. Would see him at Glastonbury depending on clashes. Preferable to all other likely contenders bar Foos, for me.

It depends what you consider "a long time". Foo's have been around for 20 years, so I would say that they could be considered to be in that bracket...

I'm not even 40 and I'd consider them only a relatively recent development - so a bloke who's almost 80 has surely got to see them as Johnny Come Latelys.
