  1. Personally very happy with this but was pretty happy anyway, MC Yallah and Billy Woods in particular are very exciting.
  2. Wow, what a complete and utter brain malfunction...
  3. Melt-Banana just announced a September UK tour with dates free on 2 and 3 of September, EOTR and Supersonic? Or just the latter? Would be a great addition.
  4. Do you reckon only one other from that lineup is realistic? Would love both WITCH and Armand Hammer
  5. Yeah agree with the consensus that eotr is a better lineup overall but plenty of acts at green man that would have been great although jon hopkins and sleaford mods not very exciting headliners. Would have enjoyed Big Thief, Sampha, J&MC, Explosions In The Sky, BCNR, Osees, Omar Souleyman, Max Cooper and Metz in particular out of the bigger names.
  6. Only managed to go once before the date change, loved it. The clash with eotr is really frustrating even with an increased overlap of artists, feel like i'm missing out on a lot.
  7. Think that's a great first wave from Supersonic.
  8. Interesting point on bonnie prince billie, this is from the eotr announcement article: "After many letters exchanged between festival co-founder Simon Taffe and Bonnie “Prince” Billy, the cult favourite will be kicking things off as our Thursday night Woods Stage headliner for his first-ever Larmer Tree appearance and UK festival exclusive."
  9. Of course they are! Silly me. Looking forward to that.
  10. Was thinking some of the undercard names, wouldn't surprise me if the likes of Quade, Benefits, HAAL, Colossal Squid, AK/DK made an appearance. Pretty good lineup in general I think.
  11. A couple of fairly likely second wave acts on this lineup i reckon...
  12. This has given me a really hard decision to make, I was excited to see bonnie prince billy but 69 love songs in full will be pretty special. Made even harder by the rumour that richard dawson is also playing on the thursday - although that is just a rumour.
  13. Away from the arguing, got to say hats off to Simon once again. Two of the four headliners being festival exclusives (at least in the UK) is pretty special. Looking forward to dissecting that Supersonic line-up later this month! EDIT: fever ray are playing a stand alone show as part of the simple things festival programme
  14. I think personally it's more apathy than antipathy, I don't feel like it's a particularly exciting or imaginative headliner. Having said that I think it'll be a hugely popular set and I don't think i've ever watched every Woods headliner so I'm not bothered and will make lots of people very happy! Hoping Lankum are the Garden headliner that night so I don't have to make too many tough decisions.
