Gotta be

Florence + The Machine, Foo Fighters, Coldplay (with Taylor Swift Subbing maybe) now?

The timing of Florence's album and the fact the only festivals she can really do now are Glastonbury or T in the Park have got to put her in a very likely position.

It certainly makes sense anyway, let's hope so anyway, I'm certain she would absolutely smash it

Why have we ruled Florence out of V?

The nose of haikus dribble the snot of everything that is wrong with poetry.

You being well into books and poems and clever people shit as well as spaffing on fringes is one of my favourite plot twists on this board ever.

It's just gotta be!

OK I'll be sure to get that grip. Be sure to read the full conservation and my posts before and after. You jumped up prick.

Wow, we ARE a sensitive little darling aren't we?

I did read the who,e conversation. It mainly consisted of you telling everyone time and again that Fleetwood Mac were still a possibility because exclusives aren't exclusives. You seemed to totally ignore others who pointed out the exclusivity was irrelevant as both the band and the festival have said explicitly that it isn't happening.

I don't think saying, "get a grip" is particularly offensive or aggressive. Calling someone a "jumped up prick" however is. Seriously unnecessary...

According to a guy on the V board who usually gets it right Kasabian and Bruno Mars are headlining V this year.

Aww,balls, Branson's let us down here. If we end up with Florence headlining instead of Taylor, any goodwill he's earned for his ruthlessly efficient trains never failing to get me the fuck out of that London and back oop north on time will disappear.

This guy also got V wrong last year, and what he says the lineup is for this year has The Prodigy headlining the second stage, which many people don't think they'd accept.

She's not as certainly ruled out as Matt's suggesting.

Yeah I'm not convinced by the V stuff, he had Jay Z and Arctics as headliners last year and a load of other bands including The 1975 and Jake Bugg who ended up playing R&L. There were a few who did play V but 4 or 5 at most.

Still think Florence will do Glastonbury rather than V though.

Its a pet hate of mine, someone saying "get a grip" to me.

I'm sticking to my opinion that Fleetwood Mac are still a possibility.

The quote from Micheal was "Fleetwood Mac don't seem to be available at the moment."

The band has tickets to sell for Isle of wight, so will deny playing if they have to

I'm not saying they are the favourites to play, far from it. But there is a possibility

It's not up to Fleetwood Mac to sell tickets for Isle of Wight. They'd keep their mouths shut if anything. But they didn't. They said they weren't playing.

There's a possibility in the same way that Bjork is a possibility. We can be fairly certain it isn't going to happen. But that doesn't mean that it CAN'T.

if they were going to play Glastonbury they wouldn't have scheduled London shows for 2 of the 3 nights the festival runs.

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
