Where the hell do Noisey find these people? Still one of my favourite headlines ever:

"I saw Swans and it made me hate people"

Sorry if this has already been posted; What's Consequence of Sound all about and can they be relied upon?

http://consequenceofsound.net/artist/foo-fighters/

I usually read articles on it, as far I knew they didn't post anything until it was confirmed, but I'm not too often a user of it

Maybe they are just putting 2+2 together and presuming they are playing

there's a few places stating with confidence that they're playing, and it's always hard to judge is they're doing that because they know something or because they're presuming.

But, for example, I know of one place that has Foos listed as a TBC, but has more-recently written an article where they state no more confidence in them really playing than the likes of me has.

And so I can only presume they've based their TBC on common presumption and keeping their fingers crossed (which I never do).

It's quite possible that CoS have taken their own opinion from somewhere like that, in much the way that loads of major media seem to end up taking theirs from what efests has as tbc.

Looking a bit further, they seem to have their own rating system and have Foos as 'Logical' (captain).

that's a great way of doing it, better than I do here. I might have to nick that.

And that makes a lot of sense. I think it's pretty logical that they're headlining too - but I don't know that they are.

With Coldplay, I believe that I do 'know' - but where that knowing is only as good as the (essentially) gossip my sources pass to me. I never know for sure until it's officially announced.

Cause he's gonna play on the fact he's been in Nirvana.

When you get a new job do you apply with a CV with your previous job details, and get more money based on your experience and skills?

Except he didn't acept the big headlining slots festivals were offering him when Foo Fighters came about, so doesn't sound like he was really playing on that fact does it?

I think you're missing my point. Wasn't a dig at grohl or foo fighters, quite the opposite

it's Leeds crowd! The arcade fire crowd there was the smallest crowd the festival has ever had by all accounts, yet they stormed it at glastonbury. Those pricks are only pleased by dung like blink 182 etc

You're all over the place here chum.

bit late to the party i know but don't lump us all in.

I saw and loved Radiohead and arcade fire sets from Leeds.

I couldn't give a shit if peeps around me weren't into it

I'm doing the weather report for the Navy tomorrow. Any stupid suggestions for Glastonbury to report over Yeovilton airspace?

Severe 700mph winds solely outside Chris Martin's house. No one can possibly leave the house - expected to last until the start of July.

ignore him matt, this is the fellow who was foaming at the mouth with excitement when kasabian were announced last year....

For the record, that's bollocks. I couldn't have been less excited about Kasabian. I know you get prickly when the transcendence of radiohead is questioned but making things up is poor form.

Agreed we're all headlined out now! I suspect they'll drop another name into the mix soon though. So far we've got Coldplay (albeit not official) and Lionel flipping Ritchie. Hardly the stuff of dreams.

I don't recall Coldplay ever being brought up before in this thread, so there must still be avenues to explore, although I can't think of any

they were brought up several times over the last few months.

i mentioned them here a few days before the efests article:

http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/186474-headliners-2015/page-370#entry4545210

and here back in November saying that a big outdoor tour was probably likely:

http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/186474-headliners-2015/page-164#entry4504672

i'm certain other people mentioned them too.
