You don't have to prove anyone wrong, the proof is there. It's been seen before and will be again. American audiences are usually dead when they are bothered, let alone when not lol.

So this is where the apparent british superiority comes in. Sorry we have food with flavor and air conditioning. Guess having gigs with crowds you think are shite are the trade off. But im sure it shocked you more that the north american gigs sold out anyway cause the only Oasis fans on the entire planet are in London or Manchester.

Hopefully just enough Brits will make it over to USA to make the shows lively.

Thanks for setting such a low bar that you think some of us are boring folk.

Fyi, if anyone was looking at Toronto, that might be the one to get tickets for. The Air Canada strike has really made lots of people change their  travel plans and theyre dumping tickets.

So are people flying to the states just for Oasis?

Eh. Wouldn't be the first people to do that, no? I know of Americans who back in the day flew here to see Muse at Wembley 15 years ago. Hell, pretty sure a shitload of Taylor Swift fans were prepared to go around the world to see her.

What dies food and air conditioning in an outdoor setting have to do with anything? 🤣🤣  it's not a trade off lol, it's just a stupid point to make. We've all seen America gigs, I've attended Coachella to less than lively crowds and that's for artists they do like. Don't kid yourself that a lot of people got tickets for this tour as well just to get them rather than actually really caring....and yes people will just spend music on the big thing at the time. The two people next to my mate at Oasis at Wembley clearly knew no words, there was no showing of pleasure and they were there for that exact reason above. They definitely were not from England, originally anyway.

They better arrived by a bucket load

I hope you get some buy I'm not sure why people would go there for it, the atmosphere won't be anywhere near here. A lot of people that have bought tickets for it actually over there will know barely any words because they never hit there, it's just jump on tbe bandwagon. Even at Wembley, we had a few people next to us that were very clearly from far overseas and likely jumped on it because they were here, barely sang a word. Same happened with Blur and The Roses over there unless you were very close, no one cares. Talking of Blur though, did make me laugh when Damon criticised the Coachella crowd for not signing or caring last time....what did he expect?, they didn't care in 2013 either, there was very little who had even heard of them and that'snot listened to, just heard the name. And The Stone Roses was a complete who are they lol. Luckily it was great down the front and Ian sounded the best I've heard him....downside was a shorter set and putting bloody Fools Gold in there taking up time which I don't like anyway haha

Agreed the atmosphere at these US gigs is likely to be muted.  Cardiff, Manchester and/or Dublin will I expect prove to have been the peaks.  Possibly off topic but I often cite Fools Gold at the Ethiad in 2016 as a big "actually this stone roses stadium gig is really good" moment.  Noel obviously has a heap of great songs but I don't think Oasis have a song or arrangement like Fools Gold.

Maybe the Americans are just actually interested in watching and listening the music being played live, and less interested in being "lively".

I certainly get the appeal of a gig where everyone is dancing about and singing along, but I also go to a lot of theatre and so have the mindset that it's perfectly possible to enjoy something without needing to be participating.

The cultural difference here is interesting but I wouldn't say either was "better". Though I guess in the case of Oasis one could question if the experience is actually any good without the participatory element.

The Ticketmaster resale is painful. Missed out on about 4 last night - one of which was my fault as I actually got to the payment page but pissed about checking the seat location on another map - card details in - gone.

Starting to think I'm not destined to be in these gigs.

The Fools Gold was generally due to how long the song is in a shorter set.

I'm American myself. Let's get real: the fervor for Oasis is so much bigger in the UK than in the USA, so obviously that is going to have an effect on the gig atmosphere.

yeah 100% on this. I'm sure they will be great plus will be interesting to see how they get on whilst properly on the road together.

I've been to America on purpose for one gig before BRMC at webster hall and the crowd was great.

I actually quite like it being a bit more subdued in America.

I've seen some of my favourite bands over there and been able to get up pretty close without the chaos that you sometimes get here.

Love a raucous gig but it's not always the be all and end all.. for me, anyway.

Good luck securing one @mufcok I'm sure you'll get one. I saw people saying that oasis facebook groups are a good place to look but obviously you need to be very very wary of scammers.

I assume you didn't hear anything re 2026 dates last week in the end?

Yeah. It's scam central, as is Twitter. May reach out to a couple over there, but it'll be meet in-person or nothing at all.

Heard nothing. I suspect it's either being kept very quiet, or (more likely) they don't wanna jump the gun with the current tour going on; get this out of the way, check they're all happy then sort the next stuff.

Sort of. Failed in the initial sale so went for the US tickets and planned a holiday around it - flying to Toronto for a few days, NJ for the gig, then to New York before home.

Got night one tickets for Cardiff afterwards so I’ve had the UK atmosphere, so am interested to see how US compares.

Enjoy. I'd have told them on and made extra time of the holiday if it wasn't cancellable obviously with flights.

I'm not confused how a debate about a crowd being up for a gig that is outside can be about good food and air conditioning. I'll remember to give that advise when someone asks me next time what the good things are about an outdoor gig in America are 🤣🤣

Unbelievably so, even the admins are scammers. I sold my UMF tickets for this year as I was going but couldn't make it for multiple reasons and nearly got caught out with an admin wanting a free of some kind before selling it on for 'running' the group.  The moment I called her and another admin out from the group the page was shut down within 5 minutes. Luckily I found someone on radiate to pay what I paid minus about a tenner

A word from Dublin. I tried and tried but it wasn't to be. At one point I had a €550 ticket in the basket, but couldn't justify the price. Instead, I did an extra shift at work this weekend, so as to not sit at home moping. On Sunday I finished work at 20:30, and it was a beautiful evening so I decided to cycle over to Croke Park. I was one of the many standing outside the stadium, singing along. There was a really nice atmosphere; all easy-going. I tried two spots. In the first the singing was so loud I couldn't hear the band too well. Then I found a quieter street, with a smaller number of people standing around; some folks sitting out in their front gardens. I heard the last eight songs and saw the fireworks.
I had to be in town again yesterday and the city centre was still awash with Oasis T-shirts. And an explosion of happy posts on social media, from the sign language interpreter going viral to the gardaí posting what a wonderful weekend it was. I am not exaggerating when I say these concerts have really lifted people's spirits. And very much a cross-generational audience. It's the reunion music didn't realize it needed.

I’m looking forward to seeing them again. Looking back they were nervous as hell that first night and have really loosened up now. These gigs are epic.

They are, I was there the night Bonehead said it was the best night but I think they were all likely as good as the next. Americans don't make that much fuss about their own and who they do like though lol, so many videos have been put on here of dead crowds.

    • Coachella beat everyone. No days off taken here.
    • on something else though, there are multiple reports of assaults and abuse at this year already. people I went to RIP with have posted in the group about multiple sexual assault cases.
    • That's why I said I was surprised by the choice of venue. Just don't nastogia bands that the festival don't book often in the tents. They will often play other festivalswith bands that people at Download won't likely care as much about. I saw them support Catfish and there is very little people I know who like them and Download lol. Scooter Sunday will be bonkers in the tent.
    • Very probable. I was a bit surprised by the crowd I saw in the video they drew, and I say that as a big feeder fan. I thought they’d draw a really good sized crowd but it looked rows deep. Chuffed for them though. Still think they’re a great band after all these years.  Rumours at they’re doing a Polythene tour next year too.
    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they haven’t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
