Here's a setlist for when they did it in 2021, was incredibly much fun those gigs 😁20230616_185315.thumb.jpg.56f089b22c6b325e387167e45cfa4c49.jpg

This setlist might have tipped me over the edge. I’ve been nudging towards going to watch this-Astley does a very good Morrissey (judging from YouTube) and isn’t Morrissey, which is a plus-and that setlist looks like a great time

Just to say there isnt anything secret set wise anywhere else that isnt on this thread, as far as im aware.

the main 3 tbas on woodsies and park and the most likely candidates are certainly here

Stuff like who is doing the essential mix and a greenpeace tba might be in here too but other than that there is not a huge amount to know, i dont think.

Bbc intro arent confirmed and the rumours for those are as above

No one seems to know the truth stage tba or the transgressive ones for rabbit hole

💯 full Smiths set

Not gonna lie, if its them I will be super disappointed.

They were there last year and for me pretty meh.

So many great indie bands touring at the moment - The Wombats, Two door cinema, Bombay bicycle club , Mystery Jets

Refreshing that we're seeing the next generation of those folks who'll try and convince you music peaked with white boys playing indie guitars in 1998.

Swap FBS & Fred @ the Temple around as FBS will still be on the Park at Midnight.

That will also help with crowds at the Temple I'm guessing at that time.

Lottery Winners have tweeted saying they are playing 5 sets over the weekend but I can only see 4 listed. Anyone know if they are one of the TBAs and if so which one? Keen to catch them but have major clashes so hoping this might help 🤞

edit : sorry just found it literally on their tweet. 7:30pm Leftfield, but that’s not on the App or clashfinder yet I think

They seem to have replaced Will Varley at Left Field on Sunday.

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
    • Beartooth? Or are they a bit to shouty shouty
    • May   1. Josiah and The Bonnevilles - As Is 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me 3. The Coral - 388
    • That would be my dream trio based on bands that have been rumoured
