The Darkness would be a great little show as well , also smaller bands in 'Courting' and 'Somebody's Child' will be great additions

I would love The Darkness. Seriously underrated talent. Justin has apologised for his comments that made them persons non grata (his youtube channel is good). Kiss and make up.

Realistically:

Mik

Beans

Hobo

Billy (keep managing to do whole festivals without seeing BB. Must rectify).

Steve Hillage (in some guise or another).

Still hoping for Pulp. Amazing that I've never seen them, given how many times they've played the festival. Same thing with Elbow.

Pulp obvs.

Was hoping for YYY’s but that dream is fading given their touring schedule.

So realistically it’s all about the DJs and electronic acts now.

Palms Trax, Job Jobse, Anz, Elkka, Sherelle, Overmono, Four Tet, Sofia Kourtesis would all be amazing.

Would also love HAAI and TSHA to be there but think they’re taking the year off.

Mik Artistik's Ego Trip

Lekiddo - Lord of the Lobster (hoping he will be back for 2023) - so random but one of my Thursday highlights from last year!

Land of The Giants (hoping they will be back for 2023)

We were talking about  Lekiddo yesterday. So very strange, had a bit of a cult following, loads of people dressed in lobster outfits. Will def search him out this year. We also saw a fella who had pandas for hands… again, odd but amazing.

Musically though, Monster Florence, they’ve just had a new album out, are supporting Professor Green at some point and have played before. So hoping they play.

There’s 55 names on the poster, last year there were 120 acts on the park, JP , pyramid, other and west holts alone without counting acoustic, Avalon etc .Plenty of time for those missing to appear!

I have got my fingers crossed that Rosalia is one of those names.

Is there an actual news that Reef are returning? Or are they slipping into a Mik Artistik / Billy Bragg kind of relationship with the festival.

Agreed, they were superb last year.

nah no news but i'd like to think they're slipping into that territory, but last year they were a replacement for a band (can't recall who) so I would like expect to see them this year on the grounds of "2022 didn't count" ethos. I like Avalon but i'd love them early doors on a different stage
