Weird. There were rumours it was gone earlier in the year but with it being on the line-up I thought it was sorted. Very odd they're keeping the same name.

I've had some nice food in there and a couple of acts when it's been quiet, but it's definitely suffered from trying to compete with the volume from the main Avalon stage.

Eh, I'm pretty sure I watched Michael & Emily Eavis perform there in 2019?! 
If that's not part of the festival I don't know what is? 🤷‍♀️

The stage is still there and if I recollect the flying machine cafe is taking over running it. They were up at Worthy View last time. Pity the cafe folk are no longer there, did a nice breakfast egg roll

I've seen loads in there, bit of a go to if there's nothing else I fancy. Especially good Wednesday and Thursday. Now looks like they're going for the cheap option by filling in gaps with DJs.

Yes the stage will still be there, just under different management.

I’d sometimes go there early morning to catch whoever is playing. I’ll keep an open mind for the new cafe set up.

I've heard it's part of site cutbacks on Wednesday and Thursday, that's most affecting the smaller sites.

It’s concerning to me that the first year they are selling 7,000 more tickets they are also cutting back on stages and places for people to go.

I wonder if Michael isn’t happy about it and that’s why he has moved his Thursday night show to Williams Green or maybe he just felt he needs a bigger stage.

Needs must I guess … hopefully normal service resumes next year …. Not so long ago people used to chat round campfires … I know expectations are higher these days … but we need a festival that’s able to operate

It also might be to allow bigger spaces for the people to travel around some of the smaller venues won’t be much used and might allow for easier movement of large groups of people.

Have I misunderstood this? Avalon Cafe not been axed or cut just changed caterer?

Yep … I was replying about some of the other measures rather than specifically Avalon cafe
