No Jerry Cantrell. Is he really only going to play Lollapalooza Stockholm? He would have made a lot of sense here.

Cantrell is also headlining one of the stages at Hellfest

This has to be the latest BST shows have been announced.
Personally I’m not convinced that The Stones will do two dates, and I also wonder if they would do BST Saturday 25th with Glasto the next day.
I do think the reason for holding back is the Glastonbury announcement delay. Although do we know if the license application went through yet?

So I’m going Stones and Kendrick for the final two shows.

It did. They've had the ability to announce any further shows for about a month now.

You learn something new every day!

since 2015 though all the shows have been announced long before this.

Blur in 2015 was mid Feb so not much difference.

Massive attack in 2016 was 7th March

Barbra Streisand was 7th March in 2019

So stones on the 7th March this year?

So does anyone know if it is definitely The Stones and just waiting on an announcement or is that just a best guess based on the fact someone on IORR said they were touring and the dates/ venue availability fit?

But for two shows?

Don't see why not. They'll sell them easily, and with 7 days off in between, they can have their choice of a nice long rest or go earn another big payday elsewhere.

Same as in 2013. And they have a strict pattern of weekend show > mid week show > weekend show for a few years now. They don‘t do back-to-back gigs anymore. 3 days off at least. So 25th and 3rd makes sense. Anfield is another rumor. They could do it in between.

25th and 3rd is correct. Which is great news for those of us who will be in a field on the 25th.

Was told there was potentially an Anfield date too, have you heard anything about that?

Think whoever told me could possibly be getting confused with Macca, so not sure on it.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.

You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
