Standing in the back of the pitch. How is BST not a bargain. And youll only get one support act at Anfield.

Don't think anyone's complaining about BST not being good value for money but £92 is still a lot of money in the current climate.

Just gonna go lucky dip anyway, not really bothered where I am in the stadium for the Stones tbh

Ok you’re all richer than me! 😂.  And I get how much things cost @Suprefan.  Just been moaning with my mates and then realised I paid £80 ish for the killers at the emirates.

Not richer, just knowing how to justify cost with what youre getting. Its a day festival for ~£100 and youll get to see The Stones and at least a couple other acts that could charge the same price for a gig themselves. Thats already a bargain.

You’ll also be miles back at BST unless you camp out as it’s got golden circle etc… too!

And yes we know, gigs are more expensive in the US

My dad's 60th birthday is on the 2nd so think I'll take him to the show on the 3rd. Any idea how much Gold Circle East tickets are though? Wondering if I should go for those so as to get a decent-ish spot ...

£220 for gold circle

So... are Stereophonics any good? They're one of those bands that passed me by. I've got tickets to both PJ days but wondering if I should skip the Saturday as it looks weaker compared to the Friday's lineup. Anyone else on there worth checking out?

No.

To be fair, the first album was fairly decent, and the second has its moments.

Massive drop off since then though, and I'd say 20 years since they last did anything worth paying attention to.

Yes, definitely worth checking out. Word Gets Around is a very good album, and as said Performance and Cocktails has its moments. Mostly the odd one or two songs on subsequent albums but enough there for a very fun greatest hits set.

Ignore the wonderwhy, he is anti Welsh, anti working class and anti fun.

Have they said somewhere supports are at midday?

Tim Burgess tweeted this morning to say big news about a gig in the NW at 12.

I thought it could’ve been Stones at Anfield, but it’s been confirmed they’re supporting LG at the Etihad, so ignore me.

    • as if by magic... (but don't tell anyone that it isn't that easy to just cut welfare and that maybe taxes will have to go up)
    • Lost my love of football years ago so I pay very little attention to it these days but I'm really enjoying Max Rushden's video diaries of his flat share with Barry Glenddening. I think Barry might kill him before the end of the tournament
