I wonder how well this is selling. They're really pushing it on social media, promoted posts on Instagram and Facebook, interacting with people on Twitter (which is quite rare).

Just from the people I know, I’m the only person that’s purchased it. No one else is remotely interested in paying for a livestream.

That includes all my regular festival crew who don’t miss a single year, bash the shit out of their F5 keys, value line up drop day more than Christmas etc etc 😂

I'm in this camp myself at the moment. Still undecided if I'll bother.

Same for us - our group of obsessives is now over 30 people, and between us we’ve been going for 20 years, attended Q&A’s with the Eavis and even visited the farm out of season a few times.

Not one of us has booked the live stream. It’s a great idea, but for me the choice between sitting in to watch yet another livestream or heading out on the first weekend when venues are open and real bands are playing is an easy one.

The September event though, should it go ahead, just try and stop me!

I've never had the chance to go to Glastonbury (always been too young and parents who aren't into camping) so my housemates and I have bought tickets for the Sunday afternoon. Acts are hit and miss for me but it's the closest I've got to going so far, and money's for charity so all for a good cause!

I'm slightly more swayed by the recent spoken word additions to the line-up (Kae and Jarvis particularly) but we have plans both days next weekend that would mean it's not really feasible to watch the whole thing. I hope it does well and people enjoy it, but yeah not one for me. That said if our plans get cancelled on one of the days (there's been a lot of that lately!) then I might just say fuck it and go for it.

Posted these in the Glastocam thread but posting here too. Found on Instagram.

Not entirely sure where this is, but looks to be just off the main track up through the site, according to these pictures.

Now this seems odd to me. Why such a large capacity tent? I'm not aware of any volunteers being drafted in as an 'audience', so why a tent that seems so big? I guess a smaller tent wouldn't be able to cater for a big enough stage, but it still seems odd - there must be alternatives. Won't it just seem strangely empty?

How big do we reckon it is anyway? Avalon or Avalon Cafe sized?

Production is my guess. Artists of the magnitude they have performing wont want to play the tiny tea tent they’ll be having the level & scale of production they are used to regardless of whether theres an audience.

see the 6 music festival headliners recording in an empty ally pally

looks about avalon sized or williams green. Still not that big really.

Gives the tent company some money for the hire, too.

I reckon it's approximately 39x54m.

Which would put it a bit bigger than either of the venues in the Avalon Field. Somewhere between Avalon and Acoustic in size.

So if all the artists are being filmed this week is anything actually going to be “live” live streamed on 22nd at all ?? Last year they had BBC live from the farm linking to classic performances and a few acoustic sessions.

Yes several people have had them the earliest arrived the beginning of this week

Cheers 👍. Presumed mine would take a bit longer but just wanted to check they hadn't been sent out after payment

If we get anything it will be similar to that …fill in and maybe an acoustic performance … security wise I’d say it’s more likely that it’s all filmed in advance

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
