Strange that.  It’s almost like artificially stoking wild speculation for months when there was always solid info on the headliners was an utterly pointless endeavour.

But what else would we do?

In any other year the info we got from the sources we had regarding Macca and Kendrick would’ve been enough for me (well… maybe), but after seeing multiple tours get cancelled and bands pulling out of festivals etc, it was hard not to be skeptical when there was zero tour info regarding both acts. Things easily could’ve changed in the last month or so deeming the info null and void. Even this morning in the hour before the Milan announcement people were saying it was over for Kendrick.

Yeah I know people are joking but anyone who now says that things weren’t extremely doubtful at points is just lying. How many times were we told by promoters that Kendrick wasn’t touring at all? Can you blame people for doubting the info?

Once, a few days ago, I think.  Unless I’ve missed others in the midst of you have a self-induced months long panic.  In lieu of any other reliable info, I never doubted it was Ken and Macca, and frankly I couldn’t care less if you believe me or not.

I didn’t ask you. No idea why you have such a chip on your shoulder lighten up.

    • If the rumours coming out of the U2 camp are correct (big stadium world tour) then think they're more likely to do Wembley, Twickenham, etc as they'll be able to bring their own production and typically like to go big.
    • I was thinking big London date and lots of smaller ones.
    • I don't think they are too big for Castlefield these days. They've not had a new album for almost a decade and they like playing smaller venues. Maybe multiple nights is another option as they do like residencies
    • Second half of next week I would expect for stage times.
    • made a last minute decision to go to Belladrum festival.   it was absolutely wonderful.   never been before, to be honest I think I was expecting a stage in a field and a burger van, but its nothing at all like that.   the site is beautiful, its small enough to get around, but big enough that there are things to discover round each corner, there are a good number of small stages tucked away.   you could quite easily convince yourself you were in Glastonbury in places.   I may have only been one time, but already learned a valuable lesson - the site itself may be Glastonbury like, but the "general camping" campsite is very much Reading like! as the morning mist rises... its a view like the Do Lung Bridge scene in Apocalypse Now...   so if you are not 15 years old, go to family or quiet camping which is fantastic.   its a real family friendly festival to - loads of families and kids of all ages running round and stuff for them to do.   I would 100% recommend it, and I really can't see any reason why I wont be going back next year!   🙂
