Noel and Kenny are pretty different, could Noel be moved Other Stage Headliner to rival him?

Billie / QOTSA

Macca or Harry / PSB

Kenny / Noel

or am I miles off it?

Kendrick isn’t playing and the latest info we have on the whole festival is that Noel is subbing the Pyramid. I’m not sure why people are trying to place him in other slots.

I doubt Noel Gallagher is arsed at all who he’s playing below. He’s not going to get a better slot and he loves Glasto doesn’t he.

I only hope that Styles isn't headlining so I can go back to the sweet, sweet days when I could ignore him completely unless he crops up in films I'm watching.

Instead of signing, Styles' entire Pyramid show is going to be him recreating his scenes from Dunkirk.

What's the latest with Kendrick? Feel like I've lost touch with all the McCartney/Styles discussions

QOTSA are almost definitely out - pulled out of at least one festival already and the drummer is confirmed to be touring with Bright Eyes in the states over Glastonbury.

And yeah, Noel is subbing the Pyramid, regardless of who’s on after him (but I’m still going with Macca).

Sure it's been discussed already but if he's performing at the Superbowl and Emily said (I think) we'll have a headliner before the end of this month - they announce him off the back of that performance if he is playing, surely?

Certainly the days after the Super Bowl is the obvious point for a tour/album announcement?

I wouldn't put much stock in the drummer playing with bright eyes. He is probably the fifth drummer they have had. Band members come and go all the time

He’s been in the band for ten years and they did recently just cancel a festival appearance. You should put stock in it.

Some fascinating reading in these forums over the last few days. I will keep my opinions to myself and keep lurking.

Keep it up people!

Don’t keep your opinions to yourself. They’re as good as anyone else’s. Possibly even better.

I do take stock in the cancelled appearance and the legal trouble but not the drummer.

I would have thought they would have cancelled the other festivals by now too.

Still all in all I don't think they will be playing Glastonbury

I don't really see the Superbowl having any impact on the Glasto announcement. Kendrick will probably get around 10/ 15 mins max and I cant imagine the viewing figures are particularly high in the UK for the Superbowl half time show. Don't get how that would warrant enough hype to save the announcement till then

More the fact that Kendrick might be announcing new music, live dates etc around the same time, in which case any Glastonbury announcement would be embargoed till at least then.

It won't be Glasto's decision to delay until then, would be Kendrick's team. He is famously elusive around album releases and this one's particularly highly anticipated after 5 years of waiting. If his album rollout is planned to begin following the Super Bowl performance - which seems to be the case for the other artists performing - then he'll likely be saving any show announcements until after it to keep the suspense. Which adds up with Emily saying we'll have news by the end of the month.

(anyone got any more straws?)

They get like 10/15 minutes altogether don’t they? It’ll probably be a medley with some of a Kendrick song in it.

TBH if Kendrick is playing he won't be confirmed until the poster drops, like in 2020. The headliner that we will see at the end of the month will be either Macca/Harry.

You would be very surprised.

It's arguably the biggest sporting attraction in the world, the publicity it gets is second to none. Yes, Glastonbury don't exactly need exposure but using the Superbowl as an additional springboard to hype an act/get more eyes on it - I'd still be utilising it if I was in their shoes.

Banger after banger.

Totally! Even that setlist is still missing some big hits. The new tour looks absolutely great from what I've seen on Twitter and Youtube so far, excited to see what she has in store for the Pyramid stage
