  1. I would say so. Just less traffic. You’ll be zigging whilst everyone else is zagging.
  2. From memory (2018), you won’t see what’s available til AFTER you choose Wednesday or Thursday. You will then see a range of locations some which will let you select tickets and likely some that will be unavailable or maybe sold out. It’s good coach ticket practice to have a day, then 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice of location. When we went for coach we targeted Thursday from Reading and got lucky pretty fast. With the timings… you won’t hear what they are until much much later (maybe not until May) and the timings can be nasty. We were in a 6am out which worked great for us as we were already arriving late.
  3. It’s funny how anecdotally the posters on here get through in the last few seconds before sell out. I think that’s a testament to our perseverance! Too many fairweather wannabees that are on Twitter complaining about how difficult it is after 10 mins.
  4. I have one ticket going for Kasabian at Ally Pally on Saturday if anyone is keen
  5. Rejected today after my fist time trying (started couch 2 5km in March 2020). I have completed a half on my own but wanted this as something to work towards. Maybe next year!
  6. I was there so can confirm Big Thief was plenty of space for everyone. One of the highlights!
  7. Something that always stresses me out that I’m sure one of the tech guru’s can help us with… If you’re lucky enough to get to the point where you submit number of tickets (or similar) and you get a “tickets not available” message (or similar). Are you better off hitting the back button on your browser or refresh? FWIW I always go back button and try and resubmit furiously as it feels I’m further down the line. I’m always concerned refresh will kick me back to the start. Thanks in advance!
  8. Harry Styles sold out multiple nights at Wembley with average ticket price ~£100 with fees. Glasto could charge £400 all in and would sell out within an hour.
  9. Pretty sure it was in around the market section near band stand Williams green etc. One of those alleys.
  10. It’s called BRIGHTon for a reason… badum ch
  11. I’ll always remember Reading in 2008 where they had band called The FFers (eff effers) playing the BBC Introducing stage. Word got round in the build up to the festival it was the Foo Fighters and the FFers Myspace page was riddled with clues, hints and easter eggs. Queue slot time, at least 10,000 people are gathered around this tiny stage and this random band come out with Foo t-shirts on with a shit eating GOTCHA grin on their faces. Never seen so many bottles thrown in my life. Rumour has it they are still getting pelted to this day!

    Glastocam!

Well I got the joke, and I thought it was funny. Which is basically the final nail in the not funny coffin I’m afraid.

    Glastocam!

It was a gameshow in the 90s hosted by Richard O’Brien. Contestants would have to complete mini-games to allocate time inside a crystal dome. In this they set off a mega fan blowing gold and silver notes all around. The team needed to net 100 gold notes (silver counts as -1) to win a paragliding lesson in the dales. It was very rarely beaten. Hope this helps x
  14. +1 for the BAR by Meeting Place. Frozen Margaritas and usually some good pop/cheese being played in the middle of the day. People dancing on tables etc, great fun!
  15. Just tried one of those BLOODY drinks (canned bloody mary) and it was pretty good. Would recommend for any lazy BM fans, I picked mine up from Sainsbury’s.

Think they missed a trick by not painting it yellow and blue…
  17. I totally agree with the concept of simply leaving things in a slightly better state than you found them. The more that get on board, the better it’ll be. This will be a far more productive outcome IMO as convincing the masses of pissed idiots to be decent humans doesn’t work. I also feel that if the site (or loos) are generally clean, most festival goers won’t want to be the first to make it worse. When you see 100 cans of beer on the floor, lots will naturally think “meh, what’s one more?”. Whereas if there’s very little litter, lots of bins, and people picking up other people’s litter everywhere we’re introducing a culture around it that benefits everyone.
  18. I’ve mentioned it previously but something our group do… If you’re heading to the bin to get rid of rubbish, try and pick up 3 more bits of litter off the floor on the way. It takes 0 effort, adds 0 time and it makes for a cleaner festival environment for everyone.
  19. Bad Boy Chiller Crew headlining with Ice Cube subbing?
  20. I was at a golf tourney yesterday. Cloudy, 19oc and breezy - it were glorious. However, word of warning, I got pretty sunburnt. Don’t let the lower temps and clouds fool you and ruin your weekend! You would have thought by my age I would have learnt 🦞🦞🦞
  21. Your mate’s long term partner is shafting her.
  22. Can someone please confirm whether the weather is an exact science or not?
  23. Tickets arrived! I had to sign for so glad I was in. LFG!!
