The Saturday. I was absolutely off my face for her set.

Same. I thought I had seen New Order before!

Tried buying tickets for mom & dad to see her at the O2 & prices were ridiculous so I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see her live. I don’t regret it except being punched in the face.

Likewise, although I think there are definitely big intervals of chat later in the set. Suppose it would get a bit annoying if she just went on between every song.

Have the sets been condensed?

Yeah, maybe not next year, or indeed ever again , she admits to cacking her pants thinking about doing glasto. Strange because she absolutely nailed it and always appears so confideent on stage, really down to earth and engaging  even allowing for her potty mouth! Love her to bits

I feel like my 2009 missing links are coming in- those songs cut out of Springsteen and Blur that I loved are appearing this weekend. I've listened to what I have of those sets from the old coverage SO many times over the years but always wanted to see those not included.

No Surrender was a big Bruce moment for me, and Blur with shes so high, to the end, this is a low...my memories from my first Glasto are complete.

Definitely wasn't a fan. Don't think I was intending to go. Then a kind stranger gave me a spare wristband and I thought I'd check it out.

Easily one of my best gigs ever. The wristbands made The Pyramid look better than it's ever been. And when they bought out Barry Gibb I was just gobsmacked and floored (I've owned the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack forever (nearly forty years by that point). It's still a dance/disco classic).

Never been a big fan of coldplay but went along that night and was so glad I did it was a phenomenal experience

Makes me so happy to see stories like this. I've always been a big advocate of them anyway and don't think they deserve their bad reputation, but that set especially was just magical

Adele was never my thing. Was steadfast before the festival that I wouldn't see her under any circumstance. Went from Fat Boy Slim to the Pyramid and proceeded to have one of the best 2 hours of my life - so much so that I cried through Set fire to the Rain.

That's what Glastonbury is all about

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
