maelzoid
With all the threads offering 'best of's from the decade just finished (the teens?) I have felt a little left out. Even coming up with a top 10 albums has been a struggle and in truth I'd find it easier to get 10 great albums from individual years for the 60s thru 90s, let alone the decade. That's not to say that I haven't enjoyed new music this last ten years, but for me, there's just not been enough of it. However, I have been to some amazing gigs over the last decade, some of the best of my life (and I guess the artists here indicate where my taste lies). Here are the highlights. More than 5, less than 10... in chronological order: Rage Against the Machine, Finsbury Park 2010 Bruce Springsteen & ESB, Rome 2013 Prince, Birmingham 2014 Pearl Jam, Milton Keynes 2014 Coldplay, Glastonbury 2016 U2, Twickenham 2017 Steven Wilson, Royal Albert Hall 2018 Tool, Download 2019 But there were so many others that were fantastic. My setlist.fm page carries the full history. So what were the best gigs you experienced in the last decade, including festival sets?

Arcade Fire - Castlefield Bowl, 2017 Rolling Stones - Glastonbury 2013, London Stadium 2018 Stone Roses - Finsbury Park 2013 Pulp - Hyde Park 2011 There is almost certainly stuff, especially small stuff from earlier in the decade, I've forgotten. sirjonnyp
Portishead, Glastonbury, 2013 I wonder if I actually preferred their Latitude set in 2015 because it was longer and I was on the front row, hugged Beth etc, but 2013 was just too good. Shout out for RATM at FP in 2010, Radiohead Manchester 2017, and Kate Bush 2014. It was like magic and really set the tone for an incredible show.
