I’m sure we must have gone through this but if we are talking Brit acts to headline next year, surely The 1975 would be in the mix. For other ‘pop’ acts, how about Harry Styles?

I was certainly expecting The 1975 to be there next year but if the Arctics info is true then I’m not so sure. Not that they couldn’t both do it in the same year, but I jus don’t see it myself.

Harry Styles is never gonna headline, but I wouldn’t be against him taking a third down Pyramid type slot, which I think he’d be open to if offered.

I'm also in agreement that Dua will be either OS headliner or sub again and that's why I think in a year when the festival might be bound almost by default for British headline acts, that the male trio memtioned is what I'd go with.

You can fill two out of 3 of the subs in female or even 3 at a push. Not sure I agree with HAIM getting the push mind, 3rd at best for me.

Headliners in 2021 should only be acts who've appeared in the Simpsons. I give you...

Saturday night Pyramid, Friday night Park Stage, Friday Pyramid "rock slot" and Sunday night West Holt's (featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, obvs).

And of course, there's always the dream reunion...

Are we treating the Gaga episode as non-canon? Because, y'know, it's fucking dreadful.

Were they actually on the show? If so love when you get a guest slot from a band so big they need to be spelled out on something in the background.

Agreed on them playing the fest though.

They turned up in a later one where everyone went hipster. Don’t think they actually spoke but they did a version of the theme tune.

I think we've all agreed that that episode doesn't exist.

The only only ONLY reason for acknowledging that episode is the concept of Gaga actually travelling around the country on that train.  That's it.

Hey guys why do we feel so set about Glastonbury and most music festivals having majority British lineups in the UK. Rumour has it that Taylor is planning on doing her European headline tour for 2021 after the success she has had with folklore I feel she will come back next year. And BST Hyde Park are supposedly about to start announcing acts  for 2021 with Justin Timberlake being one of them can we see him headlining the Pyramid on the Friday?

    • If the rumours coming out of the U2 camp are correct (big stadium world tour) then think they're more likely to do Wembley, Twickenham, etc as they'll be able to bring their own production and typically like to go big.
    • I was thinking big London date and lots of smaller ones.
    • I don't think they are too big for Castlefield these days. They've not had a new album for almost a decade and they like playing smaller venues. Maybe multiple nights is another option as they do like residencies
    • Second half of next week I would expect for stage times.
    • made a last minute decision to go to Belladrum festival.   it was absolutely wonderful.   never been before, to be honest I think I was expecting a stage in a field and a burger van, but its nothing at all like that.   the site is beautiful, its small enough to get around, but big enough that there are things to discover round each corner, there are a good number of small stages tucked away.   you could quite easily convince yourself you were in Glastonbury in places.   I may have only been one time, but already learned a valuable lesson - the site itself may be Glastonbury like, but the "general camping" campsite is very much Reading like! as the morning mist rises... its a view like the Do Lung Bridge scene in Apocalypse Now...   so if you are not 15 years old, go to family or quiet camping which is fantastic.   its a real family friendly festival to - loads of families and kids of all ages running round and stuff for them to do.   I would 100% recommend it, and I really can't see any reason why I wont be going back next year!   🙂
