  1. is it just me but do not Arcade Fire just feel like an obvious replacement for QOSTA due to that they are taking literally every single slot possible to them recently and feel they still appeal to the rock crowd.
  2. Well I believe that Sam Fender is billed as a very special guest so in essence a co headliner like The 1975 were in 2017
  3. Anyone else in agreement that its bolted on for Machine Gun Kelly to headline next year after his arena tour? Honestly if he was announced I think it would be great!
  4. I know it's incredibly early to be looking at what 2023 R&L will look like but I think we will see a very refreshing lineup. I think lock these in now if I were you. MSE: Sam Fender (playing every medium sized fest as well as Finsbury), The 1975 (arena tour and new album later this year), Florence + The Machine (arena tour new album never done it) MSW: Rex Orange County (uk no1 album popular with both indie and rap fans and huge outdoor tour this year) AJ Tracey (the next UK rapper to make the step up) Machine Gun Kelly or Yungblud (caters to that sound and either one would both pack it out)
  5. I'm hoping it's a substantial amount due to to that they really have nothing to lose with both sites selling out weekends this year and the payment plans coming to a end. I'm going to predict: SUBS: Rex Orange County & Charli XCX Main Stages: Anne-Marie, Girl in Red, Holly Humberstone, Don Broco, Willow Dance/Second Stage: Joel Corry, Rina Sawayama, Yard Act, Kawala FR/Pit: The Magic Gang, Sorry, The Subways, Dinosaur Pile Up, Creeper, Code Orange 1XTRA: JPEGMAFIA, Tion Wayne, Central Cee
  6. New Names at Midday. Lock those final predictions in now.
  7. If this happened I think it would be an ingenious booking and I would welcome it.
  8. Of these I am going to pinch the names that I feel are bolted on: Rex Orange County (Was supposed to headline R1 2020, slot in just before MTS after Glass Animals) Charli XCX (Was Supposed to play 2021 MSE, could see her on the Halsey day before Bastille or bump Maneskin down) Holly Humberstone (Won the Brits Rising Star) Joel Corry (Potential Dance Stage Headliner) Anne-Marie (Akin to a booking similar to Becky Hill & Tom Grennan) JPEGMAFIA (Supposed to headline FR in 2020) Willow (Massive atm fits into the emo resurgence) Who I'd Like To See: Rina Sawayama (Have no clue where to place her without Radio 1) Girl in Red (Feels weird to have her back so soon) Mahalia (Again no clue where to place her)
  9. I know it's not going to happen this year but honestly i think Bleachers (Jack Antonoff's band) would be a great booking for R&L
  10. Right now we have received Latitude, Wireless and Download an update from R&L soon also with the Glastonbury aiming for this month surely they want to get ahead of it being overshadowed. Could they possibly drop some names at the NME awards if they win festival of the year due to Glastonbury is not nominated this year and it's more of a surprise so it creates a real excitement for the festival now that the last instalments came out yesterday.
  11. Who do we feel would be a suitable replacement for QOSTA and FNM? Here are some options below that can be challenged: Gorillaz, The Strokes, MCR, Tyler, The Creator, ASAP Rocky, The National, Smashing Pumpkins, Liam Gallagher,
  12. I feel with the Longitude and Parklife placements of Megan Thee Stallion, I feel Festival Republic have displayed clearly that the 6 "headliners" is really just 3 expensive sub-headliners and I can imagine in future acts will be more hesitant to headline MSW and we will potentially see a drop in quality.
  13. So with the announcement of Harry Styles playing Wembley Stadium. Would we agree he is too big for R&L now?
  14. I agree who we thinking will headline the other stages?
  15. I have been feeling this way especially with the communication that Mad Cool provide which is very little.
  16. No cap though but I feel if Rage did pull out and they replaced them with Harry Styles at R&L I believe many people would think it was an unreal lineup. Also I would argue that Harry Styles appeals to the R&L crowd now way more than Rage. Also with him doing Coachella before his UK/European dates I think he could do it and I think he would want to.
  17. Who are we thinking will replace Faith No More and when will we find out?
  18. If Rage do pull out. I see FR bumping BMTH to headline the Rage day because there is probably more of a overlap between BMTH and Halsey fans compared to Rage. Who they would then get to play before Arctic Monkeys is the interesting question with the festival being sold out so here are some options below: Potential MSW Headliners: Yungblud, Sam Fender (might be locked in for 2023), Wolf Alice (bump up), Courteeners, Royal Blood, Anderson Paak, Haim (wishlist) Discuss
  19. I'd like to see predictions on who could be added?
  20. There is a lot of discussion regarding the remaining three headliners and I doubt it highly even though I would love it to happen it appears as though Justin Timberlake is rumoured to be doing a festival tour a promotional tour for his new record how would we feel if he was on the lineup and where would he fit?
  21. I agree with what you are saying but Melvin has stated in the TPD TV interview that Queens and Posty if permitted they are just going to be fly over shows so no production just playing
  22. Stormzy, Machine Gun Kelly, Queens, Easy Life, Posty
