Yeah, no worries at all, it wasn't meant to be an attack on any one persons character but more about a lot of the comments made on this thread as a whole (I think @Ddiamondd's post put it really well, it was getting quite whiffy on this thread).

Personally I think everyone is a little bit racist (or if you don't like that term, prejudiced instead?). I know for sure that I felt a lot more comfortable getting to the front front of the crowd at Kylie than I did at Stormzy, when in reality there was no real reason for me to feel that way. Its literally the same event, I guess the tempo of the music changed, but a large part of my concern was down to my prejudice towards that kind of music (heck, in that instance the majority of the crowd were white people too, but I still had that reaction). Nobody is perfect I think when it comes to racial issues, but I think its important to recognise our flaws and how we can get better.

Sorry for the takeover of the thread, we can go back to arguing about if Foals are big enough to headline now....

Re. Reg; I reckon he was booked for a final hurrah on the Pyramid in 2021. Looks like his touring plans will be pushed back a year, meaning he headlines in 2022 before retiring from touring. Just a hunch.

sounds about right to me.

What irks me about the rumour of The 1975 headlining Glastonbury 2021 coming up over Christmas dinner was that Matt Healy, and perhaps his label's manager too, had said since Christmas about wanting to play 2020.

Is there not anything to it that they might have expected a call for 2020 if a headliner fell through?

Doubt it. If they had shows this summer and had Glastonbury in the bag for next summer then I don't see why the aim would be to move Glastonbury forward a year. And speculatively reaching out if already lined up is a bit weird.

I wonder if he’s not fully signed up yet, but they have an agreement that if it seems like the festival can go ahead, he will do it. So maybe not officially signed up until later in the year/early 2021 or something.

Or maybe it’s just done and dusted and 2020 has destroyed my optimism!

Fuck it, that’s good enough for me along with Stella’s tweet last week.

We’ve just blasted through the Red and Blue vinyls so yeah, I’m definitely feeling it!

I’ll be an emotional wreck during Yesterday.

Yeeaaa i'm going to file this in the "IT'S HAPPENING!!' column.

I think the absolutely loaded lineup this year kind of diminished how personally special it will be for me to see Macca on the Pyramid. Any other year he would easily have been the act I was most excited about... by far.

Currently laying in the dark, having a Beatles binge. Feels good.

Absolutely agree here. I remember commenting back in October that there’s no chance of Kendrick, Macca and Taylor because it was so perfect for me. Macca was a dream headliner, and then Taylor was the ultimate, then Kendrick was the enormous cherry on top.

I did feel like Macca was playing second fiddle to Taylor in my mind, but yeah he’s absolutely one of the acts right there in the top tier of my wishlist. If we just have Macca from the original three, we’re still getting at least one legendary headliner.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
    • Yeah Roy's Tune was lovely. Looking forward to the whole thing hopefully going on iPlayer.   It's scattered dates they have this year really, proper tour/s to come next year - suspect a new single will drop in the next couple of months, providing the album is done.
