Just noticed that Confidence "not playing Glastonbury" Man are playing on Bristol tonight.

One week before the festival, Confidence "based in Australia" Man are in the SW of England.

Hmmmm ?

They'd be perfect for Thursday WG.

Well they wouldn't, as we wouldn't be able to get anywhere near it, but you know what I mean.

I'm sat in the pub next door, waiting to see them!

When I saw the Bristol date announced I thought they would be nailed on for a trip to the farm. Still got a feeling theyll turn up somewhere. JP headliner maybe?

Nowhere near big enough for JP headliner. Early Park slot if they're gonna pop up anywhere I'd think.

It can’t be. It would be too good to be true. But the band Neil young is using as his backup on his tour ‘the promise of the real’ is playing on the Friday on the park. There is clearly no slot big enough for the big guy but one can dream..

Hmmmm ?

Why would they get there that early?.

I swear I heard they were based in London now, but last time I mentioned it nobody could corroborate that.

They posted on Twitter the other day that they were saying bye to London until next year so that’s the one place on earth I guess we know they don’t reside.

Kind of weird if it is Diplo and they've decided to announce him, remove him from the lineup and then have him as a TBA...

Very weird. But also very weird to have a headliner TBA, so I guess all bets are off?

Nobody has bothered to remove him from the original poster either. Nor his own site.

But then also that would mean Saturday is Chems v Hot Chip v Diplo v Fat Boy. Seems too dance music heavy?

Could the Diplo TBA be his new project LSD? With Labrinth and Sia.

I sincerely hope not.  I don't know how many people would go to that when Chems, Wu-Tang and Killers are all playing at the same time?

Me neither. But I'm just trying to rationalise why he would go from the poster announcement to a TBA, if he's almost 100% confirmed for that slot.

Saw Confidence Man last night and they were incredible. Would have been a great addition - still hoping they may somehow appear in a secret slot maybe John Peel!

I watched them a few weeks ago in Liverpool. I was looking forward to having so much fun watching them this year at Glastonbury.

    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
