Hey what did I do? That's the 6 I gave you an hour ago. I always drop truth, then bull, then truth. An actual shit sandwich where the truth is even shittier than the bullshit.

That's what I thought. I think they've booked 2 of the second stage acts basically as subs but as it's outside called them headliners. Both could arguably play NME.

I think the whole 2 main stages thing is a way of getting people talking and getting headlines as it sounds better than 3 days of Co headliners. If they were on similar sized outdoor stages at the same times then maybe, but it’s essentially no different to usual. Post malone, disclosure and catfish heading the NME tent wouldn’t look out of place with LG, QOTSA and stormzy actual headliners. Just a clever (?!) way of looking like they’re doing something special for 2021

It is though cause they're taking away Radio 1 and if there's no clashes between main stage chunks that's losing quite a few acts across the weekend

Agreed, I'm just above the demographic and I don't know anyone who's heard past No One Knows, can't imagine anyone younger listening to them either tbh

They'll sell day tickets for Reading for the rock crowd while Liam will sell them in Leeds for the....Northern crowd.

Good business decision I think there

I agree apart from Post Malone headlining the NME tent would obviously be mental

Have to go back to work (running a bar on a Bank Holiday sucks) so here's your headliners...

LG // Billie Eilish // Lewis Capaldi // Panic at the Disco (unmentioned solo act, realised after it had been suggested) // Dua Lipa // RATM (yep)

Want some lube to fuck me with this dry hope you left me, Dan

The website does say full lineup at 7pm, but I’m assuming that just means the full lineup so far.

Also the 120 names was mentioned by Dan

Dan lied about the 120 names

Reading website did say poster earlier, but it's probably just that smaller poster

Aye, it means full lineup so far. He's a promoter...you aren't meant to be fed 'false' info. I mean it's pretty poor for me with an under card so far of no interest really and only 2 headliners of interest but again I'm 15 older than they are targeting at.

Some decent names there but how the hell are Disclosure headlining? I think they’ll pull the smallest crowd.

Really disappointed that they’ve doubled their headliners & still not booked a woman. Completely ridiculous.

i gotta admit, they missed a trick with billie eilish

how's melvin just gonna say "oh yeah we're doing all new headliners haha" then just pull this out his arse

like, come on man.at least just recycle last years. no one asked for 6 stages lol

    • Yep, honestly this seems like the most likely option right now.
    • Agree. Also there was a lot more crossing over between stages. I know they need to put the cure, the xx and Gorillaz on the main stages but if they could have put your Blood Orange, Big Thief, Baxter Dury on Cupra and Occident with Jade and Pinkpantheress on the main stages, it would have been a massive improvement.
    • 100% THIS! I haven't quite been able to put my finger on it, but I think you've just nailed why I didn't enjoy this year as much as usual. In last years edition, the likes of Slowdive or Big Thief would have had evening slots at Cupra or Occident, instead of being shoved on to the main stages during the day. Apart from the very biggest acts (ie The Cure, the pop headliners), most performances at Mordor just lack that special "wow, I'm so lucky to be here" feeling that I remember from the Jesus Lizard and Anhoni sets that you've mentioned.  Sidenote: I wonder if there's a decent chunk of ticket holders that gravitate towards Mordor simply because it's the biggest stage, without really caring who's playing at that time, thus the increased (and incredibly noticeable) yapping.
