Years & Years Sunday, Neil, as they’re playing a Pride party in Dublin on the Friday and Colourboxx (thanks @Somto Unigwe Raphael) on Saturday.

Bear with me here but:

If Sunday is the only day Years and Years can play. Does that pretty much lock in Pet Shop Boys for Sunday as well? Given they've performed together many times it seems likely they will guest during each others sets...

With that in mind and the fact PSB will be headlining then surely this makes my info of Kendrick headlining on the Sunday more likely?

Just saying etc...

How does PSB playing correlate with Kendrick playing?

Can imagine Years and Years will be subbing Pet Shop Boys. Seems like a pretty obvious 1-2.

Yeah, seems no other place. JP headline would have them against PSB and they played Sunday Pyramid last time.

Weren’t they supposed to be up against Kendrick in 2020?

Think that’s what he means.

Demographic wise if you’re going to have an artist which appeals to a younger demographic then having someone who appeals to a primarily different one seems logical.

Plus just filling in gaps if Foals are headlining the OS on Friday it rules PSB out for then, Macca headlining pyramid on Saturday (probably means a younger headliner for the OS)

So yeah I’d work on the assumption PSB are Sunday which fits with what I was told with Kendrick opposite on the Pyramid.

Nope, they were up against Taylor.

So this all but writes off QOTSA Friday then yeah? (sorry if this has been covered elsewhere...)

Foals - good for them, but seen them plenty of times and while they've always been solid, they've always underwhelmed me slightly. All Points East last year suggests diminishing returns.

Hoping for some good alternatives on WH/JP/Park.

I enjoyed Foals at APE but they’re hardly an exciting booking anymore as they play fucking everywhere all of the time, and even with new material I feel like I’ve seen it all before. They’re my front runner for Friday night so far and I’m sure they’ll nail that slot, but not anything I can get particularly enthused about in the lead up to the fest.

The sound was toilet so might have contributed!

I like them, and I think they're decent live, I've just seen it quite a few times now.

Must be an All Points East thing. Sound for Strokes 2019 was crap. Does make me wonder if I am better off seeking other places to see Gorillaz or The National.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
