  1. This is the preferred outcome for me. Currently on for Justice @ WH, but saw them last time around in the exact same slot so wouldn't mind a bit of variety.
  2. Hoping the Carl Cox Disco Experience finds its way onto another stage! Feels wrong without it...
  3. And they've spelled out 'Hello Mum 2023' in the brightly coloured tents on the far left of the pic.
  4. I'm a fan of hers but this left me underwhelmed. Does nothing interesting or unusual with the double album format, a lot of the 31 tracks are same-same, Antonoff's production is pretty formulaic and predictable at this point. Probably her most cohesive work yet, but there aren't a lot of highs – very few standouts on first listen which is unusual for a Taylor Swift album. As is almost always the case with double albums these days, if you'd pulled the best bits from both 'sides', this could have been a great album.
  5. Properly up for The Go! Team – used to love them back in the day and a few mates of mine said they've been great on the Thunder Lightning Strike anniversary tour.
  6. Didn't catch them on Hootenanny but just checked out a few of their recent setlists and there are some megabangers on there.
  7. This is it, really. I'm disappointed that certain acts haven't made it. I'd have quite liked to have seen Air on the line-up. But it doesn't make the line-up bad or anything (I've seen this in a fair few instances, not specifically in this thread). I don't think it's necessarily fair to critique the festival because a certain artist hasn't been booked. There are a tonne of factors involved and ultimately no one outside of a very select few really has the full picture of what's going on behind-the-scenes.
  8. It is by far the most tedious bit of Glastonbury #discourse every time the line-up comes out. "WHY ISN'T *insert name of artist* PLAYING?!!??" like Glastonbury have the ability to book any artist touring the UK in late June and early July. There's a bit of an 'X artist has a new album out, therefore they're a lock for Glastonbury' mentality pre-announcement, which is understandable. But then it's weird to me when people complain that said artist isn't playing. It's hardly enough to lock someone into a Glasto slot.
  9. Peggy Gou - (It Goes Like) Nanana But the Jungle/TLDP shouts feel fairly solid.
  10. Had NO idea who these guys were until the leaked West Holts playlist came out – definitely into it, but doesn't feel like something I could listen to all day every day. That said, I absolutely need to see these guys live.
  11. Not sure I get the hate for this line-up. Feel like the worst type of Glastonbury is a top-heavy Glastonbury. Last year felt like that. This feels like a deep Glastonbury with a couple of gambles up top. There are a lot of bands across all stages I’d be very keen to watch. Can’t stomach Coldplay playing AGAIN for the third time in my Glastonbury lifetime. But I get why they’re there.
  12. SZA is a much bolder booking than The Who though. At least they’re swinging for the fences here with an artist with something to prove.
  13. Apart from monthly streams where SZA has 71.8m to Lana’s 58.3m
  14. Feel like pure sh*t just wanted Pulp back. (I actually really like the lineup! Tonnes of acts here I’m very keen to see)
  15. Is that not the exact same situation as Idles though? Festivals have (or should have) a duty to *create* headliners, not just sitting there waiting for them to come to them. Else we’d just be having Established Festival Headliners like INSERT BAND WHO WERE POPULAR 10-15 YEARS AGO every year. WizKid very much not my cup of tea but fair play for giving him the gig.
  16. Where was this?? Can you remember the official name at all?
  17. The most depressing thing I've seen in a while is the artist's own 'Kings of Leon - deep cuts' playlist on Spotify. 'Deep cuts'... and it's full of tracks from their first three albums. That era is, sadly, dead and buried.

True but I think we can all agree that plenty of shite music has gotten 'that far' on account of relentless label pushing.

Oh yeah I think I heard those comments around last summer when they were at BST Hyde Park, supporting Pulp etc. Think their rise over the last few months has given the 'industry plant' theory a lot more ammo.

Really not sure I understand the Last Dinner Party hype. Couple of good tunes, singles sucked most of the air of the album release, and the album itself feels very overproduced and is an occasionally exhausting listen. Doesn't feels particularly convincing or authentic – a bit paint-by-numbers. Anyway, I have to chuckle in the context of people holding TLDP up as 'actually good' (when compared with "industry plants" Wet Leg). Two sides of the same coin.
  22. Bloc Party doing Silent Alarm in full at Glasto please
  23. Live at Leeds 2024 lineup announcement this morning. Would love to see The Cribs and Future Islands show up on the farm.
  24. This year will be my 10th Glastonbury and for the first time, I'll be glamping – PYO in Love Fields is locked in. It's super expensive relative to the normal Glastonbury experience but said 'normal experience' is also becoming increasingly expensive. I'm happy to fork out a bit extra as there's a good chance this will be my last one for a while. The Glamping presence is definitely more noticeable these days but I also don't think it's affected the vibe negatively. If anything I think it's good for keeping an older demographic coming back.
  25. God that's a good Primavera line-up. Would love to see at Glasto this year: Pulp, Justice, Phoenix, SZA, Peggy Gou, Troye Sivan, Last Dinner Party, Deftones, Lankum.
