Where could Prodigy play? I do not want them clashing with Mr McCartney!

I dont think they would do that sort of thing. Like its gonna be a tribute more than anything if it does happen  and its the first performance. So potentially an Other sub nobody saw coming?  Unless they think WH will be fine and not be rammed. True insanity would be JP like The Killers and itll be packed. At least that could be done in the daytime.

I’d assumed she’d put both dates down because it’s yet to be officially confirmed and she’s just playing ball, but her playing multiple sets is an interesting theory.

Bon Iver did both Park headline and Other daytime in ‘09, and The xx in ‘10 - wonder if she could be doing double duty too?

HAIM did early pyramid then Park (and a few other places like BBC intro too)

Unless i'm wrong it looks like Other headliner on Friday (vs Billie) is open currently? When Keith died Emily also did a memorial post which said they were due to play the festival that year. I'm pretty sure she also said they were going to play the Friday? Seems to line up but could be completely inaccurate.

Foals are pretty widely accepted as the Friday Other headliner.

It’s Foals headlining Other on Friday, no?

And I think in 2019 from the info we got it was gonna be Tame Impala - The Prodigy - Chems in that order initially.

I would think you couldnt have this be a headline type of deal. They could just sub Foals and nobody would bat an eye. Not knowing how the show would go off and how much people would be into the idea of Prodigy without Keith is something to consider. Why risk giving them a stage headline slot if you didnt have to. And yeah, Foals are on friday. Saturday is up in the air, but this doesnt seem like what you would do when there are options available already.

I'd be surprised if the Prodigy's first gig back after all that's happened is at Glastonbury, or any other festival, secret or otherwise. It just doesn't feel like the kind of thing they'd do.

The tour they've announced is exactly the kind of thing they do: familiar venues, familiar towns, and three nights in Brixton.

Agreed, if this was in early June 100%, but glastonbury first show back just doesn't add up imo

Could see this coming but I'm surprised they didn't wait until album release week in April. Probably announce Wembley Stadium when the album is out at this rate.

Finally! A Wet Leg gig that you might actually be able to buy tickets for and doesn't sell out in seconds!

Not in London.

These dates are ages away, they should wait until the album is out and then announce some slightly bigger venues imo. Kentish Town is miniscule

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
