That does make more sense. I saw a couple of tweets from people who were there saying they played Tom’s vocals but Rob Harvey makes more sense.

Even if they are using Tom's vocals, who cares? This issue of him coming back is a non starter. It's not like they need him for anything other than vocals.

My thoughts exactly, Serge has pretty much been the de facto front man anyway and if he’s written all the songs it makes no difference

For me? No. I'll be too busy enjoying myself to care.

As the band goes? If they wanted to shrug this off, the last thing they'd be doing is reminding people Tom isn't there. I just don't see how people see this as Tom's get back in thing.

Rock In Rio... stage already in place, large crowd. Fits with their attempts to be as eco-friendly as possible. 
If their live show could also follow the silent disco format...

Flying halfway across the planet for one gig doesn’t seem hugely eco-friendly.

The Coldplay show is 10th September. Rock in Rio is 2nd to 11th September so definitely fits.

Already edited my post. Rock in Rio was supposed to end 26th of June next year originally but they've shifted it.
