This is devastating... why target young innocent lives?

They could probably not have picked a weaker target. Lots of women and children coming into the public foyer at the end of a pop concert. Their aim is to be as shocking and gruesome as possible in the hope it will affect all our lives and stop us living the way we want to.

Staying in a hotel near the arena for business this week. Absolutely heartbreaking seeing kids and parents distraught this morning, it should have been a night to remember for them to probably see one of their favourite stars. Heartbreaking.

Devastated by the news. Always horrible but makes you realise even more when it's so close to home. Thoughts are with all those affected. No one should go to a gig and never make it home.

So very saddened by this news. Usually you hear about these attacks and whilst they are shocking and horrific you have some disconnection from it. My daughters friends saw her in Birmingham a few nights ago, and reading people on here who know someone there last night really does bring it home. Targeting a crowd with so many kids present is just beyond words.

So sad.

Also the photo that people started claiming was "Fake" is indeed very much the real aftermath of the bomb.   First it was said that it was not Manchester arena, then it was Manchester arena but it was a training exercise from a different night. Wake up. They don't damage the building and splatter blood and debris all over for a training exercise.

Fuck terrorists.

I've woken up this morning to this terrible news. It makes me so sad that any human being could do this.

The worst thing about it is that we've been waiting for it to happen. Their target makes it all the more sicker, but these people are sick, brainwashed, religious zombies.

Probably not the time for this, but I for one have not been "waiting for it to happen".  That's how they win.

Peace out and love to Manchester.

Because that's what they always do- take out the anger accumulated over their miserable lives on people they've dehumanised via ideology or bigotry to give themselves permission to act out their killing lust while deluding themselves that it's actually righteous and the victims fault- same with most killers.
