Lads and ladies, just to put a slight spin on things but doesn't this happen every year. We're all sat ever so slightly despondent on the lacklustreness of the predicted headliners then BAM Glastonbury does something from leftfield (not the tent) and announces something unexpected or have I got rose tinted glasses?

I'm a dreamer. For me the dream is still alive.

La la ooh la laa ga ga ooh la laaa

On the contrary I find that we're always dreaming pretty big in the lead up, usually knowing two out of three headliners but foolishly hoping the third will be Bowie/Prince/Fleetwood Mac/Stone Roses/Madonna but then in the few weeks leading up to the poster drop come to the realisation that it's actually gonna be Mumfords/Kasabian/Coldplay/Muse/Ed Sheeran.

The Killers seem significantly worse and even unbelievable than that lot because they're an act we often laugh about as being a fill-in headliner when they're announced for other festivals as they're seemingly never not at a UK festival, but from the sound of it that's exactly what they'll be doing for Glastonbury this year. We've had our hopes of Madonna, Fleetwood Mac etc for this year - it's time to come to terms with the reality that the festival, due to no real fault of their own, dropped the ball a bit this year.

Damn it, you're right. NOW I'm convinced by the Killers rumour

I've been away for a week and somehow we've got through nearly 50 pages which I wont be going back through ?

Now we've got the balance payment window (1st - 7th April) and the resale dates what do we think the chances are of getting something (anything!) before 7th April ?

I’d say there’s a pretty good chance of the first poster arriving before then.

I mean I get the whole this is how Glastonbury do it thing and so much more then the headliners etc. but throw a dog a bone.

It feels like its slow old progress for getting any form of announcements this year.

Is it just me or does it seem like we have way less solid info this year than usual?

Definitely seems like we have less of an idea of how the top of the main stages are gonna pan out other than the likes of Liam G subbing which we’ve known for ages. Not sure if that’s just because people have been more tight lipped or if it’s just usually easier to guess. Both excited and nervous about this in equal measures.

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
