@deebeedoobee is doing a great job of keeping the secret mic night secret. If Michael's 'performing' there, in amongst the others, we may get something leaked out. Probably just confirm Rodney Branigan will be back.

It’s no secret. Yes Rodney Brannigan is there on Friday along with 5 other acts. One of which may involve the man himself. And no it’s not the vodka jellies or karaoke. In fact he has been rehearsing for Friday with a band! 

Of course if I had a t shirt with a rumoured headliner on it I could wear it and see what his reaction is. But most of my shirts are Grateful Dead t shirts.

Just woke up and tried to convince myself that a Killers headline set makes sense because not everybody got to see them last year and a lot of people missed out... But surely that's part of the charm of a 'big band' doing a secret set. Isn't that kind of what makes it special?

I saw the killers at Latitude last year. As someone says earlier it was pretty underwhelming, Very much Brandon Flowers doing his Las Vegas show act with a session band. Liam joined them on stage and he did his best but it was pretty cringeworthy.  I am not looking forward to this at all.........

Far from a one hit wonder, just because "that" song was played to death doesn't mean it was their only hit. Their "secret" set last time around was fantastic as they played all of the fav's. I don't need to see them again though.

 

I have come to terms with the fact that my week will be full of people singing about coming out of cages and doing just fine.

They're not a one hit wonder but they do have one song that dominates their entire career and it's fair to say that they wouldn't be headlining G19 15 odd years later without it.

It’s not their fault that that song gets hammered at every wedding, Christmas party and indie club. When it comes to indie pop they’ve got some fine songs and never got too formulaic.
