2019 Headliners

Does this info not raise any eyebrows ie Liam subbing Killers on the Saturday as we thought?

Or was this just guesswork going off him appearing with them somewhere last year?

Liam subbing Cure Saturday or Liam subbing Killers/TBC Sunday? Prominence wise ye Liam will get a hell of a lot of BBC viewers and draw a huge crowd subbing either night. But the more I think about it the more I see him as a Sunday keep-the-locals-happy and viewers at home kinda act.

Could anybody summarise the last 797 pages for me? What's the most up-to-date guess as to who's headlining the top few stages? Apart from Stormzy is anybody else nailed on for a headliner slot?

The Cure and The Killers.  Not 100% on days yet

Really hoping for a Glastonbury curveball and something to be announced that we weren't expecting. Killers is just so meh.

Tame Impala and Janelle grooves are enough for me.

Unless the curve ball is Gaga...

Stormzy - Cure - Killers is the current thinking.

Ta.

Stormzy I'll probably see, The Cure I'd see if they were on earlier in the day and the Killers can get in the bin. Lots of other things to do though.

The Good Ship Lady Gaga is starting to look like it's sailed.

Sadly, it looks like Captain Flowers and his cargo of Shed 7 b-sides is coming into port.

Can we load a canon and sink that ship please.

I can’t see The Cure topping the pyramid Saturday night, unless it makes sense with them and the other headliner that those dates work best. I wanna see the Cure but the Saturday should be more of a party atmosphere and the Killers I’d say are more suited and the Cure Sunday for an easy Sunday night

OK...Marion b-sides.

I genuinely went to see Marion last November and only found out the week before what kind of a state Jaime was in. Fucking hell. That was a gig.

    • David Byrne’s obviously got a few hits to play, but he’s not cheesy enough for the Legend Slot. Other headliner perhaps?
    • Too good for the legends slot
    • We had a really good weekend this year. This was our 2nd year after giving it a go last year with 3 year old twins (we do Glasto but don't take the kids and have no plans to in the distant future!!).   Highlights of the weekend for me was Peter Hook & the Light, English Teacher, Flaming Lips, Adult DVD and Alex James (I get the karaoke thing but I still thought it was great). Missed loads of acts we wanted to see due to having two kids in tow but overall we left happy with what we managed to see across the weekend. Some great food vendors, good to see Steak Frites make an appearance this year, one of my faves from Glasto. Festival is really well run, toilets remained clean and stocked with loo roll all weekend, even on Sunday night/Monday morning. The walk from the cars is a ballache but it is what it is, arriving Thursday evening meant we were parked as far away as you could be.   My only gripe is that there seems to be a trend of parents letting their teenagers camp completely separately to them in family camping. We had a large group of 15-17 year olds near us who came home pissed up every evening at 3-4am being really loud and annoying! I get that it's a festival etc but I think it's taking the piss a bit letting your kids camp separately and disrupt everyone else.   All in all we had a really good time and are looking forward to next year.
    • Haha, was about to say! I'd def put more stock in the exit poll than a sh*t joke on Bluesky. Thanks for panicking me though. 😁
