I dunno if they're that similar a proposition really and a bit apples and oranges, so difficult to really compare 

So using Hyde Park ticket sales as a metric seems reasonable, and on that measure the prize goes to Bob and the lads.

They could headline The Other or sub the Pyramid but I don't see them taking either slot if they're getting headline slots offered to them by the likes of BBK

Ha! No war! The only reason I know is that I was at the Brixton gig a few days later. Touty ticket outside for £40 (Daylight robbery on my part!) and felt pretty special. The thing that hurt the Strokes biggest was the break after Angles. First Impression was bloody decent in my opinion and Angles was better than Be Here Now in my opinion. The split after just didn't have the same sense of mystery that some have had. No chance of headlining Pyramid, but surely could headline Other.

Saw the Strokes at Reading ‘11, but only because Jane’s Addiction cancelled their set on NME stage. I have no great desire to see them again. JA still owe me a set, however.

As poor as they were then I loved it, Jarvis coming on stage showing them how it’s done was an absolute moment.

Yeah, same here although I did enjoy their set and would watch again.

Janes Addiction don’t owe me a set however, saw them in Download a few years ago, awesome
