Someone made it disappear?

Was a really exciting gadget though. Remember being shocked at it breathing fire during Satisfaction, having been at the Pyramid for the Arctic Monkeys the night before where it wasn’t stirred into excitement at all.

Peak Glasto moment actually.

Maybe it went burned back to dust and it will rise from the ashes once again?

Yeah I loved it whilst watching m*****d and s**s

Great effect on the top of it

Saw Gaga headline Lollapalooza back in 2010...it was in the middle of her Monster Ball tour and she created a unique one-off show for the festival. Her arena staging (catwalk, aerial lighting, etc) wasn't going to work on the main stage at Lollapalooza so she did a unique stage show, with a different setlist than the rest of the tour.

Same thing for her Coachella show in 2017, she was a last minute replacement for Beyonce and she was able to out together a on-off festival set that was truly a spectacle. If we end up getting her next year I have a very strong feeling you'll see Bradley Cooper join her for a couple songs.

For those of you that have never seen her, the music takes on a much more muscular/rock sound in a live setting. She has a killer band that really flesh out the dance songs with a much fuller sound.

So Stormzy I get but still find difficult to go with Cure for Sat, even more so if it is Stormzy on the Friday. I’m sure I’ll be proved wrong but reckon there will be a round of somewhat negative press/social media when the headliners released if true - not that it matters of course.

Can't get into Stormzy but good for him if he is. Takes down one option of a potential clash for me as well.

I'd be happy to watch both the Cure and Macca (better Clash not withstanding) so been almost hoping for someone like Stormzy or Gaga who I don't care for to give me a definite night away from the pyramid.

Even with the addition of McCartney it's not what you'd call a classic set of headliners, or at least it doesn't feel like it right now what with it including Stormzy who a lot of people assumed would sub and The Cure who many didn't expect to get the gig again. Maybe time will be kinder to it, but right now it isn't getting me particularly buzzed.

I'm feeling good-ish about this set of headliners. I reckon they've got a pretty solid set there, but my only criticism would be that The Cure and Macca are both classic British rock acts. Although they're each great bookings on their own, bit too similar. If one of them turns out to be bum info and it's really Gaga, then we're fully cooking with gas.

I suppose it's a lot about who is headlining elsewhere and quality or other time slots . I am still really hoping for gaga as I don't mind her but my wife absolutely loves her .

I can't say she feels the same about the cure or stormzy

Wow feels early to have this sorted, but it's not a bad set in my opinion. Would have been nice to have a woman in there but I get that choices are limited and I think it's great to give Stormzy the boost. As it stands I could watch any of them quite happily, Stormzy mainly out of curiosity, but could easily be led elsewhere too.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
