Is gravy a code word?  And if so, what for?

Is it kangol hats?

It's kangol hats, isn't it?

Gravy is code for gravy. Gravy as in chips and gravy.

Don't fancy gravy out of a kangol hat

There's more of gravy than of grave about this discussion.

In all seriousness I remember watching Dub Pistols at the Glade last year and saying to my mate that Black Grape would be perfect for on here. My mates reply "What the fucks Black Grape"

The Sun is making a thing out of Liam Gallagher being UK exclusive at R+L. I hope Reading and Leeds don't include that in their announcement tomorrow if it's just gonna be wrong a few weeks later - getting kinda silly with that now.

Never believe what the S*N says, I remember about 10 years ago they had a full centre page spread on AC/DC headlining Leeds and Reading only for I think Razorlight to be announced a week later.

That's just 1 of many reasons why the S*N is full of bollocks.........

It was how Reading announced it but as usual Melvin will be protecting his own interest.

with Noel already saying he's finishing his album in time to head off to Glastonbury (presumably as a punter per usual) of his past bandmates do you think he'd be more likely to catch Ride or Liam?

Liam surely. Only a idiot risks the wrath of their mother.

Never seen Ash, they're one of those bands I never get around to seeing, they're always at a festival and I don't bother because I know I'll get another opportunity. Definitely not the right attitude to have

This is me too. The amount of times Ash have come round and I've not made it yet is outrageous to be honest.

Even though Noel is obviously the more talented one of the two I reckon a Liam solo show will be far more fun/funny than Noels (which I haven't seen but just the thought of it bores me). Hope I can catch Liam as I'd love to see D'Ya Know What I Mean live, and his clear 'fuck you Noel' rendition of Don't Look Back In Anger will be a laugh if nothing else.

The way his voice is gone now he'd absolutely butcher Dya know what I mean in a live setting. He could just about get it right in the late 90s. Noel's solo shows are good. Nothing mind blowing but its a good sing a long gig, his voice sounds great live, the band are tight as fuck and he plays all the Oasis tracks that people want to hear. Id pick Noel every time.

I doubt Noel will be on the bill this year. Where the hell would they put him and I think he enjoys going as a punter and getting mashed backstage too much to actually play a set.

There would not be enough gravy on site for me, Liam and Shaun.

Would need more Bisto to satisfy us all.

Beef or chicken gravy though.

Gotta be beef, its a whole different level to chicken.

Wanna feel old?

This is Little James now.

watson1.jpg

the man with the crucial link to possible bits of the yet-to-be-announced lineup...

Liam's setlist

the biggest band ever from Calgon country (and last act from there to play the Sunday penultimate pyramid slot) with an acoustic tour finishing up on June 7th, itching for a return to Glasto after 22 years, perhaps playing the Acoustic Tent while the next Scottish act plays their old spot on the Pyramid.

The Pretenders - although now it looks like Friday is the only day they could play

Ah I don't think they were shit, they weren't amazing but Flick of the Finger was a solid tune imo. The first album was rubbish alright.

Flick of the Finger is a banger. I quite like The Roller off the first album, even if it is an Instant Karma rip off.

For some reason I decided to listen to both of their albums yesterday to see what I thought a few years on. I still have a soft spot for anything Oasis related but even I think the first one is awful, a few alright songs but on the whole it's bland songs which just aren't good, had to skip more than one song. BE is pretty much what I expected too, I don't mind it and it's a huge improvement but still nothing special. I still think Flick of the Finger's a really good song though. I'll always listen to anything Oasis related but even I have no excitement for a Liam solo album so I'm still amazed he's managed to sub R&L.

But if Noel could then why shouldn't Liam?
