Was just checking to see what the prices are going for on Viagogo and noticed that they have Parklife 2017 listed as a date for The xx, so I guess if they have insider info (which they shouldn't really) then The xx will be headlining Parklife on the Saturday.

Do you have a link? Can't see that anywhere on viagogo.

Yeah - not sure if it will go straight to the correct page but this one http://www.viagogo.co.uk/search?q=the+xx or search 'the xx' and skip to the last page

edited: doesn't skip to the write page, so click on the 3rd page from that link

Think it's to do with the listing for last year. I searched 'Jamie xx' and it came up, then I searched 'Busta Rhymes' and it came up, then I searched 'Busta xx' (should happen imo) and it came up, so it must be the 'xx' combined with the 'the' off something else.

Properly excited about seeing them after reading that set list. All things considered I'd probably prefer them as Radiohead's sub as the possibility of decent acts headlining across the other stages over Saturday/Sunday increases.

Just caught them in Prague....on top form. Loud Places in the setlist and new song sounds great live. Mixed up a few old songs to give them more of a dance feel a la jamie xx album stuff.

Going to have to bloody get a brixton tout ticket now as that was bloomin amazing.

Out of interest, when/how did you get into Radiohead and how old were you?

Liked creep from moment I heard probably became really aware of them from the bends onwards . Like anything if someone grabs ur attention you seek them out . Good thing about this forum as well is its widened my newer music tastes out.

Watching some of the earlier videos I forgot that there was four of them.

I read recently that it wasn't as amicable as was made out at the time. Baria was definitely forced out by the band and she was definitely bitter about the whole thing. Supposedly her input in the actual songwriting and recording was minimal.

Mentioned in another thread that he had info that they're playing but not where they'll be playing. Come onnnn Radiohead sub - I'd make sure to be front centre for all o' that

Cheers :). Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for and think seems most likely!

Or naw. They'll die a death on the Pyramid. I would take Other headliner again in a heartbeat. Saturday night would be cool now they're bringing the party mix.

Sunset slot in front of a bunch of Radiohead fans I think they'll do pretty well. Depends on how the new album does too though.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
