It might just be a one off but it would annoy the hell out of me if they played and so many were just chatting away during them perform. Way worse than flags!

although i think headlining Other again is a very realistic possibility, a crowd waiting for Radiohead would surely be one of the best they could sub to. they seemed to nail the sub slot to Florence & the Machine at Bestival in 2012 so with a new album out i reckon they could well go the way of Tame Impala in surprising everybody in that slot next year. would be a pisser to have to miss them for whatever reason so i hope they're given a shot like this and not put up against, say, Foo Fighters where i'll undoubtedly end up missing them

yeah i'm thinking this at the moment. one of them, Bon Iver or Alt-J seem like the most likely candidates to sub with the other two/three poised to take a Other headlining slot, and considering they 'headlined' it in 2013 i think they'll be taking the main stage sub slot this time 'round

Yep it would work great that way. The XX already seem to be getting lots of promo behind them, think their record label is going to really push this album.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I think they would be a good fit for subbing the 'Head. It wouldn't be dark when they started but as the sun went down I reckon they'd draw the crowd in nicely.

Also think if they did sub Radiohead then the crowd would be near three quarters full with minimal changeover from 8pm onwards, just with extra people coming as the night wears on. I think the organisers would try and avoid putting them against the Foos - two guitar heavy bands headlining the last night on the two biggest stages would be a bit of an oversight

Can't see The XX headling Other Stage again. Next logical booking step is to move them over to Pyramid sub. Other slot would just be a near repeat of 2013 (with 4/5 new songs) and as that was clearly a career highlight for them, so not sure they'd want to redo that.

Pyramid sub as the sun goes down would be amazing.

Irrespective of other stages, Radiohead will be lucky if they get 50% of the Stones' crowd. Their fans may be massively passionate but shit loads of people ain't that bothered. Especially the under 30s or the over 45s.

Exactly what I thought! no way radiohead will get anywhere near a stones level of crowd.

Yep, point taken, that night was clearly a one off but amazing all the same.

Trouble is though, if they do end up going against some of the guesses on here like major lazer or alt-j. Where do you think the masses or un-decided will go along to?

Just been browsing back through the line-ups of the years we've been to previously, and friday in particular from 3rd down up to headline across most of the stages was a clash-headfuk. If that is anything to go by, then next year could fall the same with a lot of good stuff spread over.

I'd be happy with the xx top of the bill on pyramid saturday instead of this ed shearer rumoring about.

Finally got round to listening to the radio 1 set. Gosh/Shelter is absolute genius. Hope that becomes a regular part of their set. Jamie's b2b with Annie Mac was great also. So excited for this album, and the possibility of a sunset set on the farm.

Agree that the new song is mega.

The more I think about it, the more I reckon they will sub the Pyramid. As Keithy mentioned, headlining the Other again would seem like they are standing still. If they don't sub Radiohead, there's nothing to stop them subbing Ed or Foos, although it could well attract a less interested in those cases.

I don't see Alt-J in the mix because it was only last year that they played a big slot on the Pyramid. I like them, but I hope they end up elsewhere next year since it's too repetitive of a booking for such a big slot.

At this stage I'm hoping the XX sub Radiohead and Bon Iver either headline the Other against Ed, or sub the Pyramid on either sat or sun. Although I am resigning myself to missing either the XX or Bon Iver already :(

I love this place. You're resigned to a clash meaning you'll miss one of two bands, neither of which we even know are going to play.

Nowhere else but the Glastonbury boards of e-festivals could this happen!

That's what happens when you spend most days of the year reading a forum for an event that lasts five days...

I'm over 45 and will definitely be at radiohead. .. Unless the smiths or talking heads reform
