Radiohead Headlining 2017

Today I've gone from fearing Take f******That or Robbie f****** Willims were playing, debating internally whether Phil Collins was still unbelievably naff or a guilty pleasure to enjoy on Sunday afternoon, to having Radiohead listed gloriously as TBC! Exhausting!

The festival is 243 days away.

This is a hell of a lot of excitement for October!

1. Actually seeing Radiohead headlining the Pyramid

2. Radiohead subbing Adele

3. Radiohead playing The Park

4. Missing Radiohead playing in 2003, because your boss was trying to make a stupid point, not granting holidays.

5. Deciding that Primal Scream would be a much better act to see in 1997.

6. Pablo Honey.

is this your second post on this thread after opening it?

haha think so yeah. And probably the first time I've read the thread since starting it too.

Great booking in fairness. Especially if it means theres no more Radiohead threads for a couple of years.

Amazing news for a Wednesday afternoon in October! I should probably feel a tad guilty basking in the glory as my wait for this has been a lot shorter than some of the hardcore on here.

I always liked what i heard but never went out of my way to listen to Radiohead. Then when In Rainbows came out my flat mate got it on vinyl, i heard Weird Fishes/Arpeggi for the first time and was totally blown away by what i heard! From that point onwards i casually started listening to the other albums up until Primavera this year, once i saw that set back in May i was hooked! I keep telling people that it was probably the best live set ive ever seen, me and my girlfriend literally walked away in to the Barcelona night air completely awestruck. Now so soon after its looking like just a year on we'll get to experience it all over again!

    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
    • Cat Power Wilco Whatever combination of Avalon Emerson and Aldous I manage to see Ken Pomeroy Sparks with an honourable mention to Neve Cariad
    • Saw em live back in march, and they were bloody marvellous - all flames, ghouls and skulls on sticks. And so tight musically! (i'm a Pleasure To Kill man in terms of albums, mind)
