Edit: But on the Ashcroft subject; post-secret Other opener slot? Was thinking The Coral for that but he'd work too, imo. Could see him doing that slot and The Coral being Friday JP headliners.

Edit 2: I forgot he's said he isn't playing. And the post-opener has tended to be something upbeat.

He did say in Radio 2 show a couple weeks back that up until that point he "hadn't been asked", but that is the default non-committal response we've heard before from acts that don't want to give anything away. He also said in the same show that he's got some plans later this year where he will be doing gigs with a full orchestra. Could be that, could be a much welcome Glastonbury appearance, could be something else

Aye but two weeks ago today Emily said the lineup would be in a couple of weeks! And the curator of the Rum Shack said yesterday that their lineup announcement was days away. Think it'll be Thursday.

If we get past 8am with no announcement then I'm ruling out today. Richard Ashcroft's breakfast tv announcement is the only thing giving me a slim hope that it could come today.

We normally have at least one person warn us of an impending announcement.
