Call Super confirmed to me on The Gram he’s doing Beat Hotel, Maceos (seriously how do I get in there sounds sick) and “something on Sunday at Stonebridge. Hope it’s him and Objekt.

Either work the festival or get good at blagging - it's a staff bar

Staff at Bloc9 innit.

Think I’m gonna try and blag my way in there and failing that just storm in like I own the gaff. If you do it bold enough people assume you belong there.... right?

You'll definitely get this out of more DJs, slide into those DMs

Good work

Just been trawling back through the Silver Hayes lineup, really liking Hammer and I dont remember them being mentioned on here at all. Sound kinda like Bicep (and they have done some collaborations previously too)

Hammer is great, saw him open for Bicep @ Printowrks. Got the impression he was told to not blow the roof off before the show, started very slow and smooth and built his way up very nicely getting the vibe ready for the show. Last 30 mins were very fun. Curious how he'd manage in his own setting.

Always been a fan since Dahlia.

Last time I slid into HAAi DM’s to ask her about tune she played when I seen her, she said it’s track made by Aphex Twins’ lawyer 10 years back and it’s unreleased. Still not sure if I believe ?

I didn't make my way to Shangri-la last time out (its often too busy and some of the rackets that emanate from its corridors and towers would shudder the bones), but I think I can't rule out some of that.

At least Bicep will be nice and spacious

Sub Focus, Dimension, Slipmatt, Altern8, My Nu Leng, London Elektricity, Ratty, Pilgrim, Zinc, special guest, very special guests and a whole bunch of new acts that I've yet to discover. Plus Block 9, Arcadia and Glade yet to come.

God damn, I love this festival.

Just messaged a pal saying that there's already so much on my list of stuff to see, and they haven't even announced 'my' three areas yet (which are, as you say, Block9, Arcadia and Glade!).

Up for Bicep in Gas Tower more up for Craig Charles all day Friday though it’s a top craic.

I didn’t ask Call Super on the gram someone said is he playing so I chanced asking where. I did message Paul Woolford/Special Request though coz I missed him in Manchester and he sadly can’t make it. Wounded he’d be unreal at the farm.

I have a feeling that Block 9 is going to be right up your street this year. The bias over the past few festivals has been towards tech and deep house which were popular at that time but there's been a resurgence in techno towards the mainstream in the past couple years and I reckon the festival have identified that, hence the expansion of that area. We might not get the predominant names but I'm pretty sure we'll get those on the cusp of breaking through and most importantly, the music they play

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
