Acknowledged and discussed at great length long ago.

Oddly enough some people think AC/DC are shit and some don't.

I am in the later camp.

Yes indeed. And with no back to back dates and only one back to back on the last tour (and I think the same on nearly every tour?) it makes them highly unlikely.

Yeah I should have figured it was already addressed - I can't keep up with you guys. Good point about the space between dates. I just saw the 27th and 28th open and got Glasto-vision, not realizing they don't seem to play any shows back to back. Fine by me if they are not there (although tbh it is much more likely that I am at West Holts or the Park or somewhere else around headliner-o'clock).

The problem with the Beatles is that they are all dying in the wrong order...

On anther point just heard Psycho Killer on 6 music, imagine Talking Heads doing Stop Making Sense in full as a headline set

It was Once In A Lifetime not Psycho Killer that was on 6 then. Ace tune. Sorry but just wanted to point that out..

I've just read through all of today's posts re: Kasabian whilst on the train home. Have you ever thought that maybe the Eavi booked them because they are a "marmite" band and whether you love them or hate them, they get everyone talking? You guys went totally off topic of headliners for this year and just talked about Kasabian headlining Glastonbury ALL DAY!!

Slow GF news day, Jo...

And Kasabian certainly do stimulate (ahem) friendly debate.

In regards to Kasabian, One of the best bands I've seen live and I would never associate myself with their stereotypical fanbase. But Velociraptor is an awful album and I can't believe they got away with that one but I've enjoyed the rest.

If people don't like them i wouldn't call it music snobbery because that doesn't exist, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's the beauty of music and Glastonbury! There will always be something for everyone

Does anyone have any idea what % of the Glastonbury attendees are 'new' each year?

Those of us lucky enough to have been before know what to expect of the site and it's vast array of areas, and are happy to be going almost despite of the line-up......but we can't help debating the merits or lack of the headliners.

For how many each year is it a completely new experience where they probably don't care too much about the line-up......or are excited by acts that we've seen there before but for them it will be all part of being at Glastonbury with the wow factor of being there at all.

Via registrations Glastonbury HQ must know this number. If it's a high rate of 'new' each year do they really need to worry if they bring out acts that have been there many times before?

explained my point/question badly - but does anyone know?
