Does anyone have any idea what % of the Glastonbury attendees are 'new' each year?

Those of us lucky enough to have been before know what to expect of the site and it's vast array of areas, and are happy to be going almost despite of the line-up......but we can't help debating the merits or lack of the headliners.

For how many each year is it a completely new experience where they probably don't care too much about the line-up......or are excited by acts that we've seen there before but for them it will be all part of being at Glastonbury with the wow factor of being there at all.

Via registrations Glastonbury HQ must know this number. If it's a high rate of 'new' each year do they really need to worry if they bring out acts that have been there many times before?

I think ME said Stevie Wonder was "probable" on 2 Feb and then it was confirmed on 12 Feb.

Either way, an announcement now would be very welcome!

True, but there has to come a time when the ' Stellar" acts run out, we've been spoilt recently, at least i have , started going in 2009 and it's been great, Pyramid wise last year was the first let down personally, but now i've been 5 years straight ( 6 this) i've learned to love the other stages better anyway. I didn't see one Pyramid headliner last year and loved spending my time between, West Holts, the park and Avalon.

But then I hear talk of Travis and Stereophonics headlining...

Imagine if these boards existed back then. Would their announcement have been greeted with the same contempt as Florence will be?

Travis - Stereophonics - Basement Jaxx - Florence is actually an improvement on each year.

So you could say that the festival isn't as bad as it used to be!

I seem to recall being bored rigid by air, and I was looking forward to them.
