Well, I’m only giving an explanation for why he might have mentioned the album, as no-one knew about it before it was announced or the leaks of the artwork.

But the gist is that these will be smaller (than festival) shows but place they haven’t played before.

If an act was booked recently like we thought, they would be booked after February. So maybe daves using that comment as a good excuse (a believable one)

I am hoping that the secrecy surrounding the announcement coupled with Neil not hearing anything recently regarding who it might be, indicates that it is an absolutely huge name and they want to build the anticipation before this megastar name is dropped.

I’d disagree with that, I think the answer would have been more evasive, especially as it’ not a journalist asking but a fansite and, I think, via email. He says ‘it’s not us’. Seems pretty unequivocal to me.

It was most likely a very personal anticlimax. The nation seemed swept up in the whole thing but after initial excitement my interest waned. Probably doesn't help that I dislike gymnasium sports.

I suppose your enjoyment would depend on a number of factors. I live in London so was swept up in the atmosphere and good feeling that swept through the city. I was also fortunate enough to go to quite a bit of it (athletics, swimming, gymnastics, basketball, football) even the stuff I didn't like from a sporting perspective (not a gymnastics fan myself either) there still a good atmosphere and the feeling of just being at the Olympics was pretty special.

Another day another person on Glasto chat saying they know the final headliner.

Says her brother is doing a DJ set at the festival this year and has heard the final headliner is a 'reunion' and it's gonna be "massive"

Only reason I posted is because she seems persistent she actually knows.

A lot of this article points to glastonbury being pink floyd's "one-off" reunion show.

Especially with it being the 40 year anniversary of 'Wish You Were Here', the 30 year anniversary of Live Aid which Michael Eavis/Chris Martin/someone said it was something to do with, and the 10 year anniversary of Live 8, their last performance. Who knows.

Oh God! Those quotes from Nick are what originally got me so excited before Christmas about Pink Floyd and Glasto, now I have been revisiting them every month or so to see if anything else can be understood from them. It's making me very stressed.
