Would love it to be the Stone Roses. Went to both Heaton Park and Finsbury park such good shows but very doubtful it will happen.

Still holding out hope for Taylor Swift to play the Sunday though!!!

Smallish venues for a summer tour from Paul in the UK. Seems his appeal has become much more selective.

I thought you meant he was playing small venues. Disappointed to see it's the o2 in london.

Last time I saw him I vowed it would be the last time. It was pretty perfect so a good memory to end with. But this is tempting as it's only 10 mins from me...

I'm looking for two quotes if anyone can help...

Both Emily's

One about foo's being the only rock act

The other about one of the headliners needing a boost.

?

Reading was superb last year, but i kind of get what you mean... need a new album with a few new big tunes in it me thinks!

QOTSA would be immense, Like Clockwork was easily their best since Songs For The Deaf. Not sure they quite have the name in this country to headline Glastonbury though.

Only caught the second half of their Other Stage set in 2011. Mrs Jass wanted to see Beyonce, I wanted to see Queens. We decided on half and half - a compromise that satisfied no-one.

If you aren't sticking a fiver on these guys at 100/1, I question your common sense levels

Saturday night guys, be there for Glastonbizkit!

Fuck can you imagine.

Quite possibly the worst band in history.

Probably go down a storm

i thought it was in a video, but the only one i could think of was the NME awards one, and it's not in that.

she said something like the Foo Fighters "are the rock act", or maybe "the rock headliner". she didn't explicitly say only, but it sure sounded that way.

I was at the liverpool date for Macca that year too. Best few hours of my life. Went on my own and was sat between two 60-something couples who were loving life. There was a pretty good dj playing dance remixes of Beatles songs on before Macca if I remember correctly too...all round top night!

    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
