I didn't think anything was going to come from this show, and I'm not surprised that nothing has come out from it so far.

A band that were ok but somehow managed to capture the hearts of a generation by knocking out anthems that you could belt out while dancing like a knob.

They rightly pissed off after being found out with a shite second album and managed to stay away just long enough for their fans to have had families that were old enough to be left alone, while they donned their old bucket hat and went and got smashed in a field with their old mates from uni.

I was a few years too old so didn't really get the appeal.

Seeing as it's 20 years since the Roses were due to headline but had to pull out it would be apt if they did headline. "20 years in the waiting" etc. I'd love it. Were great at Finsbury

The Stone Roses were REALLY poor at T in the Park. If you're a Stone Roses fan you'll probably love it. If not, I'd advise you get the f**k away from them.

While this is true enough, there's also a marked difference between the Stella fueled monkey-walking post-Britpop lads congregating at the reunions and the paisley-shirted C86 wallflowers that sent Made of Stone up the charts in 1989.

I saw the Stone Roses at Heaton Park and Glasgow Green and they were class both nights.

I caught Remi's hat at the Glasgow gig. Great piece of memorabilia, even if it is one that they were selling earlier in the tour. I had to have a whiff inside and his hair smells bloody great.

Roses were brilliant at Heaton Park and Finsbury Park. I could watch Squire all day!

I was there on the friday. The sing-a-long was like nothing I've been to before or since.

It really was something special and I've also never experienced an atmosphere like that at a gig and I don't know if I ever will again. The sing along was part of what made it for me. I couldn't give a toss what it or he sounds like via youtube videos because it was absolutely fantastic at the time. I went to the Glasgow Green show too and although it was good, it didn't come close to the Friday at Heaton Park.

I said this on another thread recently but QOTSA headlining is the best booking Glastonbury could make for me. Just can't see it happening anytime soon though.

The Roses on the Pryamid would be a dream! Saw them at Finsbury and it was amazing, I would have paid the ticket fee alone just to see Squire come out and play guitar, absolute genius

They do nothing for me whatsoever. I can't say I dislike them but I just don't hear anything special. The only band I really hate are Arctic Monkeys. Total overrated shite
