Mostly fine. 

My north facing room is ok and there are some big trees just across from the river which help. I only really get direct sunlight for a couple of hours in the morning before it's at it's highest.

Kitchen is a bit warmer than I'd like.

My housemate on the top floor in a south facing room feels a bit differently about the whole thing though.

Even just getting a fan seems tricky. I went on Amazon and they were all at big ol' prices and some models weren't available for months.

think it gives some of us a nudge to be better prepared ..... and test cooling methods ... windows open or closed for example . Although on the farm the only real recommendations are fresh and black tents and no alcohol plus shade ... I often douse my hat and t-shirt in cold water also

This works wonders. 
 

Every hour or so I’d refill my water bottle and then cover my head and neck in water at the same time. 

That plus a water soaked bandana wrapped around the forehead. 

And obvs no booze until 5/6pm

Just the 35 right now … 34 in Pilton by looks of it and that’ll be measured in the shade . Barely anyone out and about wisely . Not sure how id cope out in a field

Yeah.  Yesterday would have been a bit of a H&S nightmare with people coming on site, heat related traffic issues and such, but the site would be ground zero for heat today.  

 

I'd already decided that future festivals I'll be arriving on the Thursday but honestly the pattern of the last few years is making me rethink my strategy altogether.

 

RE: wet hat/t-shirt, I do exactly the same and even do the same at home during heatwaves like this as the cooling effect of the hat is really beneficial to lowering your core temperature.  I do look a bit of a tit though, but nothing new there.

I love hot and sunny festival - when I return home looking like I've been to the actual sun - but that would have been unsafe yesterday.

Not only yesterday but today as well. I reckon would, not could. The lack of shade plus the general inability of the British public to be sensible in such conditions. In fact there’s a tendency to be as stupid as possible. Uncovered, no sun tan cream, too little if any water, far too much alcohol etc
