I know it's hyperbole but I might have to return my ticket if it's Capaldi

(obvs wouldn't but the thought does bring tears to my eyes)

also separately did leave after Holly because I haven't managed to quite get into Self Esteem yet, still miss Slow Club tbqh but happy she's doing so well

Capaldi isn't headlining, quite possibly subbing though.

Not a chance in hell. Firmly a Pyramid sub or Other head.

I was going to say the same.  The crowd control issues referenced in the council report were these 3, so inappropriate scheduling and poor/inexperienced marshalling rather than secret sets.

The council report revealed that they don't currently take account of the draw of the act and who else is on in their risk assessments which seems like a fairly big oversight and what led to the Williams Green, Avalon, Park issues.

Where’s this coachella line up

Later today by the looks of it. Teases coming out and the tickets are meant to be back on sale by Friday.

May not drop until night time (California time) so may be a wait still yet.

have GnR drifted a bit? Long enough now for me to stick a few quid on for emotional hedge

At those odds I'd be more tempted by Styles/Dua Lipa.  Still not feeling the GnR vibe and Glasto usually have a younger, more current headline act in the mix somewhere.

That's a fair point, but the surge of folks leaving were all young 'uns - noticeably younger than Self Esteem fans.

literally everyone left after Self Esteem, felt a bit bad for Bea following those two sets

I left after Holly Humberstone mainly because Self Esteem has played every festival going over the past couple of years often multiple times so I'd seen her before and have again since.

definitely getting the Frank Turner award for playing everywhere in 2022… and by the looks of it strong odds to retain it for 2023

now hurry up Glastonbury and announce some headliners where I’ll probably be elsewhere when they play anyway!

Beabadoobee was OK (lover her on record but not quite there live), still had a decent crowd. Much bigger than the 2-300 who watched her at TRNSMT anyway 😬

Should have seen Clairo after George Ezra in the Nonce Tent. About 3 rows of people at the front and friends of our lot walked to the front centre barrier without any issue

Yeah was a nice little jp run that, thought she lacked a bit of stage presence but got some great tunes, felt she got a little frustrated with the crowd, sorry Bea it was daytime Saturday and I’m retired from the mosh pit and was hungover…

sold out Brixton and supporting Taylor in the US next year so good for her!

She’s made a start on 2023 with a Taskmaster appearance

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
