Because there have been no rumours whatsoever of her headlining Glastonbury 2023.

RHCP having never touched Glasto and playing a festival in Belgium a week before is as worthwhile to me as us already knowing a worldwide Beyonce tour is due to be announced, but fair enough. Mostly me hoping. Would take Rihanna though.

If a tour gets announced and there's a GSH she can go on to the possibilities list.

RHCP are there because they're a massive, headliner sized act who will be in Europe and free that weekend.

Might have missed a reason why she can't play but wonder if Dua Lipa can headline one night and Elton the other and they combine for their song on one of the nights? I guess it would make most sense for him to come on during her set as he'll have a hard enough job fitting all his songs into his own set let alone adding collabs (even if that collab is already a cover of his song).

AM - Elton - Dua Lipa is a great set of headliners.

They are, but the Eavis clan were still holding their 29 year long RHCP grudge strong as recently as 3 years ago, honestly I think Beyonce with no announced dates is still more likely than them at this point. But I guess that's something impossible to measure, they could change their mind overnight.

No chance Reg is sticking around to do one song the next night… much more likely that Dua doesn’t headline and appears in his set to tee up her return I. 2024

Fair point. Taken this long to get him to headline, seems unlikely he would then do 2 nights 😄

Supporting pink, no where near a headliner

I'm inclined to agree. 15 years ago, totally could have but since she left the UK/leaned more into US media etc, she's fallen off the radar a bit in terms of mainstream.

Also, she hasn't released a solo album since 2017 which was a Xmas album, 2016 for a studio album, and No Doubt's last album was 2012. She did release a couple of songs in 2020, but no album.

She's no headliner if she's only a support at Hyde Park.

This year's subs at Hyde Park included Stereophonics, Pixies, Nile Rogers and Plant & Krauss. Any of them headlining?

Not sure she's even a sub to be honest.

She's a legend though, isn't she?

Skippy has argued for this dangerous renegade a few times.

And people think Blur are ruled out because they’re in Dublin the day before. 🤦‍♂️

No, people think Blur are ruled out as their Wembley date is being touted as their only UK appearance in 2023.

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
