Extra new Swift date's prove she is willing to do 3 gigs on the trot?

Sunday headliner?

Impressive that not a single stop has just one show

edit: pre this lot of extra dates she was already doing 3 in a row in LA

5 night's at SoFi alone, 70k each night. Mamouth stadium

Always fascinated how these big artists are able to sell these massive US stadiums, they're on another level.

Unlikely? Downright impossible.

Roughly means the same.

Gonna guess it's either Harry Styles or Rihanna now.

But it doesn't completely rule her out closing Sunday?

Just under 4 nights at wembley - pretty similar to what big artists do in London if not smaller.

Loved Palma Violets. That first album is still full of bangers. They're still going in a couple forms now, the lead singer trying to make a come back. Straying slightly off topic mind you as I don't think he's in with a shot at headlining

I was a fan too but they were definitely marketed towards Libertines fans who missed out the first time around and wanted a Libertines to call their own. Quite noteworthy that people stopped talking about them around the same time The Libertines reformed.

I don't think anyone has cared what the NME thinks for a very long time.

Because they're not even a music publication any more, they're now a BuzzFeed clone that just comments on whatever's currently hot in mainstream pop culture.

Rihanna has more recognisable bangers than Taytay imho, would be a great booking

I don't think this is true probably quite similar - its more that Taylor Swift has released lots of albums recently that would clog up her set vs Rihanna who will be playing mostly 8-12 year old tunes

Why do you bring this sort of stuff up constantly. Let it go.

Because there needs to be a 50/50 split at every single music event!

On a serious note, there are some good acts on that tour, and judging an artist on anything but their music is silly.

Phoebe Bridgers is dogshit though.

Why? Representation has been stacked in favour of white males for decades and still is in many ways. There is no need to promote male bands to these positions because they continue to benefit from this.

Stop being silly.

    • Very quiet in here at the moment.....again.   I hate this time as other festivals start and we see who Sziget should've booked 🤣   The Cure knocking it out of the park once again at Primavera showed that they have fans of all ages and, even if it's felt they don't represent the direction Sziget is going in, they would've been a huge draw.   Ditto The XX, who I've never been a massive fan of tbh, but put me in my place at Primavera with a cracking set.
    • Ballots for BST and Roundhay dates on TfG
    • Yeah, I feel like people are really overlooking just how fantastic Simple Minds are. ABC have a classic 80s new wave album behind them as well.   That being said, yeah it's not worth travelling for. But it's a lineup I would be happy with if it were local to me
    • On the Wet Leg crowd - the opening day always has the worst crowd of the festival. A lot of locals show up purely because it's a cheap evening, often with not much interest in the acts performing, so, while the talking is an issue throughout the festival (and increasingly at gigs/fests everywhere) it's particularly rough on the Wednesday every year. I'll only bother next year if I really like the act playing.  The wristband is basically a souvenir these days, which I like, as I keep them. Also I guess for the festival it's kind of cheap advertising as people walk around the city with them on.
