We need live reports from the ground, we need soil readings, water table measurements, temperature and humidity readings. Most of all just someone tell us it’s not f**ked and it will all be dry in a few hours 👍👍🙏🙏

As others have said, we seemingly got lucky with this being this morning and not tomorrow.

Soften the ground just enough to make tent pegs go in easier but dry enough for trainers all weekend.
I’m also seriously considering leaving the walking boots at home…

The Beeb app is still showing light rain Friday evening.   The only model showing anything close is the GFS, so hopefully they’ll back away from this in the next day or so.

GFS Friday evening:

The GFS has the rain on Sunday closer to the site than any of the other models, so hopefully it’ll stay away and we’ll get a dry Elton, so to speak.

Temps are a bit down on Sunday now too with the models, due to more cloud around, 24/25/26, so that’ll please most people…

Apart from all that, and bar a few light showers, all the models are going for a dry festival.   See you in the fields!

Yay! No one likes Swindon anyway!

.. and they had a burst water main yesterday which flooded the place. They're really taking one for the team.

Wow, living close to the edge!

I've read the same forecast as you and I'm still worried I don't have wellies in addition to the Timberlands I'm already wearing.

Clearly I've been burnt by festivals of the past!

😆

I think I will bring them, just in case. They're pretty comfy and good for feeling stable even if I'm a bit trollied, lol

Always, always bring wellies. Did 2005 teach nothing. Appease the weather gods! Keep them happy 👍

Finally just stopped raining in E London - probably the muggiest its been all year so far 🫠

Yup humidity is up today but should clear by tomorrow on site. Tbh as long as we don’t get anymore it’s been the perfect run in, superb timing to soften the ground a little and …… keep the dust down….. can’t believe I just said that.

2010 All over again wooohooo 😂🥳

Last night was horrific. Woke up 4am so confused to the sound of torrential rain.

Rather this morning than tomorrow though. Considering how dry the run up has been, it had to break at some point so probably the best time for it. Phew.
