Just watched a BBC forecast on the telly and the heavy rain we previously thought would arrive on Sunday is now mild drizzle at best.

Let's try to be possitive. The closest days (and therefore the most reliable ones) are ruling out 2016 conditions and showing decent weather. Even if in the worse scenario we get a bit (hopefully only a bit) of rain the ground should not be a mud party.

GFS ensembles, looks like the operational run (forecast above) is an outlier in terms of low pressure and rain. The operational run is the thicker Green line in the below charts.

This is precipitation

This is pressure

This is temperature

As you can see from the wide spread in both pressure and temp as the date range gets closer to the festival means it is still all to play for as they don't really know what's going to happen after tomorrow yet

Yeah defffo just keeps changing so often haha also wed am showers means everyone gets wet whilst in the queue

I'm a first timer - how much rain during actual festival time can the site handle before it gets officially "muddy"?

Currently 9 degrees away from freezing during the festival.

Are people really waiting on knowing the weather before they decide what to take?

You'll need a hoody for the nights whatever the weather, and a pac-a-mac / poncho takes up no room.

Doesn't take much really. You'll find it its just the odd shower though the mud dries up very quickly and its a nice surface.

One of the few (only?) acts on both lineups is Supergrass.

One of their biggest songs is 'Sun Hits the Sky'.

Current forecast as it is probably sees me not going.

If I wanted to sit in the rain for a few days I'd go sit on the Moors.
